22.01.2022 Due to the lack of communication with the Shire and the community, The shire have put off any talks with the WGTP until December due to the upcoming council ele...ctions. There will also be a 70 tonne limit put on the Longwood Avenal road. Signs will go up this week. The shire and the Action group have just been hand balled around with no one answering any of our concerns.No one seems to know who is ultimately responsible. 20.01.2022 In Longwood today talking with locals, the Mayor of Strathbogie Amanda McClaren and WIN News Shepparton about the Andrews Labor Governments disastrous plan that... will see superloads (160 Tonnes) of pre-cast concrete transported through these towns on local council roads for the next two years. This plan has been put in place without any consultation with the Shire or affected residents. The whole thing reeks of arrogance and incompetence by the Minister for Transport Infrastructure Jacinta Allan.

According to my Dad, Ian Patton, The rabbit factory was located at the top of Hurley Street up past the school,I can’t remember exactly how much they used to get, something like 1 Bob a pair. As a kid I used to walk up the laneway past the cactus’ and wonder what used to be there. Anyone else got memories of The Rabbit Factory to share?

04.01.2022 A great article in today’s gazette. Today’s update is that we have finally got to talk to someone on the Westgate tunnel project with some clout. He is trying t...o put together a meeting with the decision makers from the Department of Transport (DoT) and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator NHVR. To explain why the loads cannot come down the Hume. I hope to attend this meeting. We are also arranging a community meeting after this ,to discuss the outcome. The shire will not sign off on the MOU unless it has the community’s consent. I think we are moving in a positive way. Maybe common sense will prevail Regards Steve See more
