05.01.2022 As long-time WA fishing identity Tony Spinella retired from the industry, a number of friends gathered at the WAFIC office to share stories and celebrate Tony’s... contribution to the industry. Angus Callander and Felicity Horn both delivered heart-felt praise for Tony’s legacy with plenty of references to the 2007 Fremantle Fishing Harbour protests which prominently featured Tony’s vessel. It was estimated that there was around 300 years of collective fishing experience around the table, with some proposing that gatherings like this should be held more regularly.
