13.01.2022 Hope everyone has had a lovely wet August and are enjoying an even wetter September! We've had a couple of questions regarding what we do with our cuttings so here goes. Whilst some vineyards mulch their cuttings or even use machines to cut their vines, our hand tendered gems have last year's growth picked up and burned in line with our philosophy of minimizing disease from stagnation and promoting new and healthy growth :) This helps the vineyard's longevity (not so much our knees and backs) however thankfully we've matured from the workout days and are now using a big rake to help carry the bulk of the sticks. The youngsters don't know what they've missed out on!

10.01.2022 Spring is here and the buds have burst! The birds are singing and butterflies fluttering; and amidst the picturesque surrounds of green and blue you may hear gentle rasping in the distance. Though, this is no cause to despair as the boys are simply rubbing our girl's trunks more than those of their wives!

08.01.2022 The vines may be dormant when the chill of winter sets in however we're bustling away like little gnomes pruning and tying down our little sleeping beauties ready for budburst. But wait, there's more! We also make sure their wounds are tended to and resistant to infection by painting them with barrier paint (mothers take note). In other news whilst the good old Malmsbury Hotel has changed hands they still sell our drop which is very kind of them.
