24.01.2022 A Cricket ACT women’s cricket showcase day has helped raise funds for the Lord’s Taverners ACT. Lord’s Taverners ACT President, Ric Smith, together with fellow committee members, Nan Bak, Keith Hardy, Mike Crane, Adelaide Jones and Asoka Wijeratne, collected donations from the crowd at the 2020/21 Women’s T20 finals day (at EPC Solar Park, Phillip on 28 November 2020). The $79.30 that the initiative raised has gone towards funding the work of the Lord’s Taverners ACT, support...ing local young and disadvantaged cricketers and other athletes. Pictured alongside Ric is Caitlin Galeano, who was the match-high scorer with 77 off 51 balls opening the batting for Ginninderra Cricket Club in the final. Ginninderra finished with 5/128 off its 20 overs in the decider, six runs short of the 6/134 target set by Weston Creek Molonglo Cricket Club. Read more: https://bit.ly/2NpfhgB
