25.01.2022 Mr & Mrs Harwood, a very special couple with an amazing history spanning 50 years. I felt like I was with friends and I hope we are now indeed just that . Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot. "Lorna officiated our Wedding Ceremony at Kings Beach. I would recommend her as your Marriage Celebrant. Lorna was so professional yet personable right from our first contact with her. She made our day all about us and listened to what we wanted for the day. Lorna is such a beautiful person from the inside out. Great sense of humour and just all round awesome. Like we have known her for ages. 5 plus stars from us." Deb and Pete

24.01.2022 What's up Friday? Boss Baby

24.01.2022 It was such a treat to be a part this day last month, a beautiful little elopement held at Spicers Retreats Tamarind and with Lightsmith Images there to capture perfect moments like these

23.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing lots of you next weekend! I'll be at @weddingsattiffanys on Saturday and Sunday. Come say hello !

23.01.2022 Hoping everyone enjoyed (or is still enjoying ) a beautiful Mother's Day xx

22.01.2022 As a 'foreigner' in Australia I've had to learn a lot of local terms, "thongs" for flip flops, "arvo" for afternoon, well an "o" after almost any word to be honest. "How you going?" translation, how are you?, "servo" for fuel station and "she'll be right" for everything will be ok. Plus my all time confusion of maroon pronounced "maron" . So when earlier this month when Jim and Tracey surprised their friends and family with a wedding disguised as a BBQ (after being together for 22 years!), it was the moment Jim declared to the guests that "We have to hurry this up, my brand new 'double pluggers' are killing me!" that had me laughing so very genuinely and heartily . So pleased one of the guests caught this moment for us . Oh and btw 'double pluggers' is another term for flip flops

22.01.2022 A little something to make you smile

21.01.2022 Lovely little elopement at Spicers Tamarind Retreat for Shama and David. Beautiful photo by Lightsmith Images

18.01.2022 Just came across photos from Ebony and Nick's gorgeous wedding at @yandinastation . It was such a magical day and it's so lovely to be reminded of the beautiful weddings I've been so fortunate to be part of over the last five or so years. I'm so grateful to all the couples who entrust me with their day, thank you! Photos @kjtilse

17.01.2022 Driving through Maleny after today's wedding I couldn't help but stop and admire this beauty

17.01.2022 Nothing was going to stop these two getting married today. No it wasn't Plan A, with all their friends and family at the big venue they had originally booked for today. However, our cozy little group of six at a beautiful cottage in Maleny seemed to be more than enough to keep Mr & Mrs Harvey smiling and I was very lucky to be part of it

17.01.2022 Happy Anniversary @caityb89 and Tunny Thanks for popping by to see us the other day, shame it was at a 2m distance . Looking forward to seeing you guys properly very soon Gorgeous photo @daisyandtheduke

17.01.2022 Here's us on our wedding day, well I'll clarify, this us well into the night and thoroughly enjoying every drink that was handed to us... We were surrounded by the most amazing group of family and friends from near and very far and I still cannot believe how many people made the long journey to be with us. When we started talking about our wedding plans, the very first thing we agreed on was that we wanted a party. A proper party until the wee hours. We knew we needed a good ...DJ, we had heard great things about @benshipway from @gmeventgroup but we could have never imagined that they would get it SO right. From the first chat a year in advance until 230am when we were still dancing, they were just amazing. A big shout out to them and everything they do above and beyond, cannot recommend them enough To @bonnie.jenkins.photography we will be eternally grateful to you for every photo, every little moment you captured . To our friends in these photos, my apologies, you have only yourself and the open bar to blame And if you make it to the end of this post and the photos you'll note that my dress did a brilliant job mopping up the floor See more

16.01.2022 Sunset strolls

16.01.2022 I have been waiting with bated breath to see the photos from last weekend's magical elopement with Jess & Vanessa and oh my word @Lovelenscapesphotograpy is just stunning . It was just the five of us on the day so I felt especially honoured to be chosen to be a part of this very intimate ceremony. Thank you @jessstewart.pt and @intentionallyv

16.01.2022 When France comes to Australia for dessert = Croquembouche perfection created by Adriano Zumbo for Emily and Chris's wedding at Pier 33

15.01.2022 Family trip to Fraser Island and today we had the beautiful Lake McKenzie all to ourselves. If you've ever been here you'll know that it's normally busy with tourists and tour buses galore but with the Covid lockdown just recently easing we were lucky enough that it was all ours .

14.01.2022 Last night's wedding reception @ritzcarltonbali

14.01.2022 When your dear friend and lady behind the beautiful towels @@skygazerculture asks if your two and a half year old can be in a photo shoot it was an easy yes . However on the day it took a mere seven adults to manage the diva behaviour (second photo included for reference). Was so much fun being a part of this day at the gorgeous @loea_boutiquehotel and impressive to see everyone come together to make it all happen @lumea_photo @myfilmaustralia @ridley.taylor @arilwilliams @worldofwacker @lucy.mai @ Loea Boutique Hotel

14.01.2022 Couples will often tell me that they are nervous about reading their vows to one another or being the centre of attention in front of their guests. I find myself telling them not to worry, that when the day finally comes around, they might just find that everyone seems to temporarily fade a little into the background. That of course they will be overwhelmed with love and appreciation for everyone there, but for a few short very precious moments, all they will truly see is each other. The beautiful Anna and Scott with eyes only for each other

13.01.2022 I see you too Bailey. Ring Bearer for today's wedding

13.01.2022 One of the nicest compliments I can receive is when a guest who attended a wedding that I have officiated contacts me to tell me they loved the ceremony. The bonus prize is when they tell me that they'd like me to be the celebrant for their own wedding . On the right is Caitlin who got married three years ago and who I absolutely adore and feel so grateful to have become friends with. And on the left is the lovely Bec, Caitlin's dear friend and who was also her Maid of Honour. Now this year it's Bec's turn to marry her prince at @yabbaloumbaretreat and lucky me will be there to help them say "I do". Here's to best friends and fabulous hats! Photo @daisyandtheduke

10.01.2022 I've known for a long time that @spicersretreats has many beautiful locations for weddings but this weekend I had the opportunity to experience it in a very different way. Along with 13 other very lucky mamas, we set off on a two day walk with @scenicrimtrail and @spicerspeaklodge An incredible experience and so special to spend time with such an amazing group of funny, smart and inspiring women from @sunshinecoastgrammar @ Spicers Peak Lodge

10.01.2022 Growing up in Western Canada, we had to take country line dancing as part of our school curriculum. I realise now that it has served me well as a celebrant, you'll find me side stepping my way as quick as I can out of all of your big money shots like first kiss, exchange of rings, exchanging vows etc. So that's me shuffle stepping three steps to the left so @everlaststudios can get Micayla and Dalton's first kiss shot in front of that gorgeous backdrop at @weddingsattiffanys

10.01.2022 When you get your rings cleaned and fall in love with them all over again . My husband worked with the amazing team at McLean & Co Jewellers to create my engagement ring and when it came round to designing the wedding band they were incredible at bringing my idea to life. I absolutely love both rings, especially when they're clean . So if you're thinking of popping the question, looking for a special piece of jewellery or even just some advice please pop in to say hello to them

09.01.2022 I have to admit that I'm a little bit disappointed that you didn't ask me to renew your vows @adventuresofcatherineodriscoll but I'm willing to forgive you and Mr Presley this one time

07.01.2022 'All Shook Up' Looking forward to seeing the Baz Luhrmann Elvis biopic (going to be filmed in Australia apparently). PS If you're stuck for ceremony or reception music, some Elvis classics are great for a wedding. Maybe an idea to stay clear of 'Crying in the Chapel' or 'Are you lonesome tonight?' though

02.01.2022 Sometimes when I first meet a couple I instinctively know that not only are we going to be a great fit for their wedding, but that we are also going to become friends. That was exactly how I felt when Lanie, Gemma and I sat down together for the first time for more than one Gin & Tonic (their favourite is Opihr, mine Hendricks, but I digress). Fast forward to their beautiful morning ceremony at Moffat Beach followed by an amazing party Homegrown Cafe Palmwoods which they very kindly invited my husband and I to join . Photo by the ever so lovely @kellijeanblack who is also one of the gems behind @elbadi and The Vintage Stockroom

01.01.2022 Earlier this year I was very fortunate to be invited to @hazelwoodestate to officiate the wedding of the beautiful couple who own the property. I had never been to the Gold Coast Hinterland and I was blown away by how beautiful it is. These first few photos are from Hazelwood where they have been facing horrendous bush fires the last few days. With the incredible effort and time of the men and women of the emergency services they have managed to get things under control. Very sadly neighbouring properties, including the beautiful @binnaburraweddings have been severely damaged. Closer to where I live we have seen terrible fires in Peregian which are shown in the following photos. Such a scary and stressful time for all those involved. A huge amount of respect for the immense effort of all of the emergency services involved.
