20.01.2022 As we prepare for day 1 of remote learning 2.0 tomorrow, our staff have been hard at work making all the necessary preparations. Resource packs for junior students will be delivered and regularly updated, while Google classroom and other digital resources will be available to senior students. Some teachers will also be running Zoom classes and regularly checking in with students and families. We remind all community members that wellbeing and mental health are our first priority. Please do no let remote learning become a point of stress or conflict at home. We want all our students, parents and carers to feel empowered to work through the learning programs in a way that is manageable and practical. Please reach out if you require support at any time.

19.01.2022 Our amazing VCAL students are launching a unique new project called T.A.L.L. - Tales of A Local Lockdown. This project will allow Lorne community members to contribute stories of their experiences during the COVID-19 lockdown. The stories will then create a time-capsule for the Lorne Historical Society. Check out John Agars fantastic piece in the most recent Committee for Lorne Surf Coast Times page...
18.01.2022 This year, COVID restrictions meant that we were unable to take all our students to the Lorne Rememberance Day service. So we thank our junior school captains Pema and Max for representing their peers and laying a wreath on behalf of our College. Students back at school listened to a short service over the PA and participated in learning activities including the creation of this collection of poppies by our Grade Prep, 1 & 2 children. Lest we forget...
18.01.2022 Our school is fully operational and students should be in class. Current DET advice is that all students outside Melbourne and Mitchell Shire should be attending school. Students should be kept at home if they are showing symptoms of illness, or if a member of their household has been sent for a COVID-19 test. Please understand that we are not running a remote learning program at this time. Our teachers are delivering onsite learning programs only, as per the DET operational guidelines. Thank you.

15.01.2022 Just a reminder to our community that Stribling Reserve (both the gymnasium and oval) is for the exclusive use of Lorne P-12 College during school hours. This is a contractural and financial arrangement between the Department of Education and the Surf Coast Shire. We respectfully ask all community members to plan their use of this space outside of school time, just as they would any other school oval or gymnasium elsewhere. Thank you.

And well soon be recommencing paper recycling. This new paper may cost a little more, but we think the payoff for the planet will be worth it!
