25.01.2022 Sorry everyone I got my dates wrong. Also anyone who received a note to move to LAP swimming at the end of term 1 will start back in Lorraes Pool until LAP swimming becomes available.

23.01.2022 Fees and dates for term 3. Don't forget to call the OFFICE if you need to change times.

23.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that swimming has been cancelled for the rest of the week due to a pool heater failure. Swimming should hopefully resume next week as usual.

21.01.2022 It's going to be a cold and wet few days, but it's nice and warm in the pool. Please remember that the rules don't change just because the weather has. So don't come too early as you will have to stay outside in the cold and wet.

19.01.2022 Attention to all LAP SWIMMERS Here are the rules for swimming at lakeside leisure centre over the coming weeks. To assist Tuggeranong with their numbers we are asking parents to drop off and pick up. We will have a staff member at the front of the complex to sign participants in and escort them out. We will wait with them until they are picked up. With this in mind PLEASE be on time for both drop off and pick up.... If you wish to come in with your child lakeside will charge you a $2.50 spectator fee. Any other family members wishing to swim must pay at the entry. Booking is not necessary but space is subject to availability. Showers and toilets are open but we are asking participants to leave straight after class EVERYONE PLEASE COME DRESSED AND READY SWIM. we are looking forward to seeing you all.

16.01.2022 I hope everyone enjoyed their first weekend with relaxed restrictions. Unfortunately indoor swimming is not yet allowed. We may be able to open during level 2 but most likely not until level 3. I hope you are all safe and well. We are looking forward to seeing you again.

16.01.2022 Lorrae Black Swim School would like to announce a return to swimming for term 3. Those students swimming in Lorraes Pool will be able to resume normal lessons as long as parents follow all the Covid-19 rules. We are in negotiations with the Queanbeyan Pool for the return of LAP Swimmers. But due to Queanbeyan council restrictions this will not yet be possible. At this stage I will book everyone in at the same time and day as they were swimming in TERM 1. If this is s...till suitable to you and your family please just LIKE this post so I know. ( that will save me many phone calls) If you need to change your day/time or if you don't wish to resume in TERM 3, please call the OFFICE (62995349) on Monday 6th or Tuesday 7th of July. 09.01.2022 Parents these are the rules we all need to follow for term 3.

08.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that although pools have just been allowed to open we are still not able to start lessons. We are hoping that this will change soon and that we will be able to recommence in the new term.

05.01.2022 Parents Due to the government restrictions, we will not be able to open for lessons at the start of term 2. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

04.01.2022 Attention to all LAP SWIMMERS LORRAE BLACK SWIM SCHOOL is happy to announce that while Queanbeyan Aquatic Centre will not be allowing any businesses to hire lanes, Lakeside Leisure Centre in Tuggeranong has graciously agreed to allow our swimmers access to their pool for Term 4 on Saturday afternoons. Classes will run between 12.30pm and 5.30pm. Each session will last for 50 minutes, with class times starting at 12.30pm, 1.20pm, 2.10pm, 3pm, 3.50pm & 4.40pm. Starting from ...the 17th of October. Unfortunately places will be limited, so if you wish to return to swimming in TERM 4, please call Sam in the OFFICE on the appropriate day. As it is a Saturday class those who previously swam on Saturday will be offered spots first. If this is you, please call the OFFICE on Tuesday or Wednesday. Any spots remaining will then be offered to those from Friday classes. If this is you, please call the OFFICE on Thursday or Friday. I appreciate that swimming in Tuggeranong may not suit everyone. Please be assured we are.still doing everything we can to convince the Queanbeyan Council to allow us to return to the Queanbeyan Aquatic Centre. See more

03.01.2022 The new heater is in and working. Lessons will be able to recommence Tuesday after school.

02.01.2022 We would like to let everyone know that for the safety of our families and staff, we have decided to close our lessons for the foreseeable future. Thank you to all our parents who helped us stay open this past week by following the distancing rules. Please montier this Facebook page for information about when we are reopening. Those who have paid for next term, your money will be held in credit for when we reopen. Keep safe and well. Sam and lorrae.

01.01.2022 Unfortunately the new pool heater has not yet arrived. So swimming is cancelled today (monday) and tomorrow morning (Tuesday ). Hopefully it will arrive today so that no further cancellations will be necessary. Anyone who has missed lessons due to this issue will have their fees reduced as we are not permitted to have any catchup lessons.

01.01.2022 After a disappointing meeting with council we are sad to announce that LAP swimming will not be returning to the Queanbeyan Pool this year. I understand this is devastating news to all involved. We are looking into the possibility of swimming at a different location and we will let you know as soon as we have any news.
