15.01.2022 It’s official- I seriously suck at keeping up with social media when I have pj’s piling up everywhere So in case you were wondering, I haven’t disappeared or run away I’m just here in this little room working as hard as I can to get the last of these orders out to you. . . Sometimes I wish I had a cutter or a packer to help with those time consuming steps, but at the end of the day I enjoy the whole process and I love packing the post bags, writing my little cards and... sending them on their way . I hope you’re all having a wonderfully productive Sunday! I’ve just come back from @miltonmarkets and filled the fridge for the week, so for me it’s back to the machines. Makers gotta make!!! 14.01.2022 Happy Sunday lovelies I made this self drafted top the other day just playing around with an idea and some beautiful linen from @wearethefabricstore . I really love the peplum style, but I want to adjust a few things (like the ties that I added as a last minute idea) so I’m going to make another one today. Maybe I’ll put some buttons down the back? I’ll just see how much fabric I can find in the cupboard first I think this could also make a great dress, so I’ll play aro...und with that idea too. . . I know Sunday is meant to be a day off and when I sew all week, people find it strange that I would still like to be sewing on my day off But it’s different when you are sewing for yourself. I just relax and see where things take me, and to be honest it’s when I learn so much. I try new ways of doing things. Some work out great and some don’t make it to my wardrobe but I find it relaxing and fun. I think the thing that lights me up the most is exploring new ideas, so in a busy week it’s important I try and squeeze that in to keep that spark charged. . 02.01.2022 A little update So it turns out that not everything goes to plan when your trying to master a handmade business it’s a good thing I’m a Sagittarian and am able to laugh most things off, but unfortunately I’ve been hit with some pretty massive supply delays and have had to postpone a second summer PJ release before Xmas. If I’m honest, I actually think it’s a good thing because I’m feeling pretty tired and achy and I think the universe is sending me a big slow down mes...sage. I also have our parents arriving in the next few weeks for Xmas and after this crazy year I think it would be great to not be sitting in the sewing room while they are here. When I first found out my fabrics wouldn’t make it I couldn’t sleep and I cried, all my plans were changed in an instant, but that’s just how things roll I guess and after making the decision to postpone, it was like a massive weight off my shoulder. I’m a high achiever and a hard worker, and at times far too tough on myself (another typical Sagittarius trait ) But when I look at he amazing challenges we have faced this year, the massive volume of orders my little website has taken and the huge amount of hours I have put in - I am so proud and finally happy to allow myself a breather. We will work it all out in 2021!!!
