12.01.2022 If your interested in getting any very nice top quality jewellery custom made with your own gems or looking at purchasing any for a loved one. Please look at these amazing pieces 100% Australian and beautifully hand made by my good friend Kathrine Von Ahnen Dykes. Some of the Sapphire and Zircons cast into the jewellery were mined by myself.... https://www.facebook.com/gloajewellery/

11.01.2022 More sapphire from the Vulcan. Always amassed at the blues I find. Smoky quartz from Blue hill quarry/ Oberon.... And a big fluorite Crystal/ Emmaville specimen from my private collection. I’ve purchased a black light/ uv torch to look at it’s fluorescence and amaze the kids. The Conglomerate rock That I found in a deep wash layer along Sapphires bend Rd behind a big bolder. It has sapphire stuck to it in a concretion/ natural cement layer. I have Found a few of these over the years but without sapphire. Never seen one like it anywhere yet.

03.01.2022 Just sold: Sapphire Rough in conglomerate rock. Naturally formed sedimentary conglomerate with 11 Sapphires imbedded in the formation. Others may also be in the concretion and unidentified yet as still unseen. Has iron stone and spinal and other hard crystals / gems stuck in it Zircon...?... Just the clay and loose gravel has been washed off. Totally natural show piece/ exhibition or display. Some areas are rusty due to the iron concentrations but it hasn’t changed in around a year. Dug out from on top of a hard clay base @ 2m deep under a 150mm thick wash layer in the Vulcan State Forrest south of Oberon. Lots of big boulders pulled out lately and it’s been hard work. Many V good loose Sapphires found in the location including a 6 Line parti Sapphire of 3ct. Formation total is 474 grams. Sapphires are estimated to be from .5ct to 2ct. 6-7ct estimated weight in Sapphire can be seen without cleaning concretion away. Amazing specimen found from 3 years of working the area. Others found so far had no Sapphires. See more
