23.01.2022 We have been a little quiet on the ole' socials lately - Very, very busy behind the scenes with our rescue buns! Morgan was desexed, vaccinated and microchipped last week by Dr Lucinda @theunusualpetvets Murdoch. As always, Dr Lucinda did an impeccable job and Morgan was eating and back to his usual self that night. Morgan was certainly a hit with the team, he's ultra cute, has a real personality and is such a little dude. He has been busy recouperating and lapping up all the extra attention.....and treats! Morgan will be available for adoption towards the end of November #adoptdontshop

22.01.2022 *On Trial* Beautiful Miss Koko was recently surrendered to our care - How stunning is her steel grey coat and bright brown eyes! Koko is just 8-9 months old dwarf lop and is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has a beautiful calm personality with a dash of diva too. Koko knows what she likes and would do very well being a spoilt single rabbit or potentially be bonded to a similar age desexed male. 21.01.2022 Just when you think you couldn't fall anymore in love with Montana, mid last week we had an urgent call from the team at @theunusualpetvets Murdoch. They needed a BIG bun to donate blood to help a local bun in the clinic that was very unwell. We didn't hesitate and raced Montana, Piper and Winnie down to Murdoch and left them for the night (8.30pm). Montana was the superstar bun that donated blood to help the bun in care. We heard late last week the bun survived the mammoth s...urgery and was recovering well in hospital. Whilst we were back at UPV this morning, the team presented us with an amazing pack and certificates to say thankyou (from the little buns owners too) for helping the bun in care. We were Gob smacked, nearly cried but held it together....such a lovely suprise and the girls will love the @smooshiefacetreats and the @burgesspetcare Indoor Pellets. 19.01.2022 Little girl Phoenix had her weekly weigh in this morning - 576 grams! Smashing her milestone goals! Not sure what's going on with the ears, maybe lop, maybe helicopter, maybe up-ears. Regardless, we think she's pretty damn special and very proud of her! Next week we will be upgrading her to the 'big bun' baby scales since she has now outgrown the kitchen scales #weeklyweighin

18.01.2022 Harrison arrived in our care just a few weeks ago, we were full but hey what's one more! Our friends at @theunusualpetvets completed his vet work and he recovered very quickly. Today, Harrison was officially adopted - He couldn't have found himself a better home! He has a huge indoor pen setup, everything a bunny could want or need but most importantly....A loving home where he is the centre of their world. Just like it should be! We are so proud of you Harrison! #adopted

18.01.2022 Our mate Toby is heading home this afternoon - Although we see Toby regularly for grooming, it's been so lovely to have Toby back @thewhiterabbitretreat_ for his first holiday! His family are very excited to see him again today!

17.01.2022 Baby Morgan looking a little less baby and more like a young man now ! He is such a confident little man, even though he is still very young when he free ranges he will come up to you for pats - Something alot of older buns wouldn't have the confidence to do! What a character Morgan is, bounces around the room chinning everything then randomly finds a spot to flop have a quick nap then he's back into it zooming around exploring. He is going to make such a wonderful addition to someone's family.

13.01.2022 *On Trial* Beautiful Miah found herself out on the streets of Warnbro before she was found and taken to a local vet for a microchip scan - Her owners were never found and she now finds herself in our care. Miah is such a beautiful bun with a gentle personality, she hasn't minded being picked up and snuggled too. Miah has just been desexed last week and is recovering very well! 13.01.2022 Miss Harlee who was recently surrendered to our care was officially ADOPTED today! Harlee didn't make it to the second week of her home trial, her new owners fell in love and how could they not! Harlee's mum is a Chef and has been baking up healthy rabbit treats and with her work shifts, she has been getting into the DIY crafts and making some VERY impressive toys for Harlee. We are not only proud of Harlee but her new owners too who jumped through all our hoops and were so dedicated to making their home just perfect for Harlee

13.01.2022 Big THANKYOU (again) to the team @theunusualpetvets Murdoch for looking after Miah today! Miah was speyed, vaccinated and microchipped - Special thankyou to RVN Jami and RVN Amanda who always go above and beyond whilst our rescues are in their care. Miah is back at home and relaxing in her plush bed, we will keep a close eye on her and hopefully she will start to feel better over the next few days

12.01.2022 Today our beautiful girl Winnie found her forever home and was officially ADOPTED! Winnie has really fallen on all four paws and has settled herself within amazing family unit who love her as much as we do! It really was meant to be and no real surprise, Winnie didn't even make it to the second week of her home trial! Winnie has a huge indoor pen setup with everything she could possibly need PLUS a large outdoor penned area just for her. Winnie is now living her best life and we couldn't be any prouder of her #adopted

11.01.2022 *Adopted* Miss Harlee recently joined the Lost Souls fluffle! Harlee was lovingly surrendered to our care and we were more than happy to help her owners - Harlee is in fantastic condition with a shiney black coat, striking brown eyes and such a beautiful gentle personality. 10.01.2022 *On Trial* Well, it's about time we introduced you to this stunning girl! This is Montana, she was found in a local reserve in Dalkeith before being caught and handed into the Dalkeith Vet Clinic where she was VERY well looked after. Unfortunately, her owners were never found nor did she have a microchip. Montana came into our care shy and scared but quickly warmed up to us, she knew we weren't going to hurt her. Our friends at @theunusualpetvets Balcatta looked after Montana... last Friday when she was desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. After a rough few days post surgery, Montana started to become her usual beautiful self again! Just when you think you couldn't fall anymore in love with Montana, mid this week we had an urgent call from The Unusual Pet Vets Murdoch. They needed a big bun to donate blood to help a local bun in the clinic that was very unwell. We didn't hesitate and took Montana, Piper and Winnie down to Murdoch and left them for the night (8.30pm). Montana was the superstar bun that donated blood to help the bun in care. 09.01.2022 *On Trial* We are so surprised Piper is still with us; She has seen all her fellow buns find their forever homes but sadly, Piper hasn't. Although Piper is very spoilt and loves her life here, she certainly does deserve the love and attention from a forever home. Miss Piper, not only is she beautiful but she has such a gentle, calm personality mixed with a dash of sassyness. During her time here, she has become particularly fond of our 3.30pm treat time where she gets to have... her favourite apple rings and dried kiwi @smooshiefacetreats. Piper has come such along way especially since loosing a few hundred grams - You will often find Piper enjoying her outdoor time binkying and zooming around the yard! Jasmine + Autumn were adopted last year and lucky for us, we get to see them very regularly throughout the year. 09.01.2022 It's very unusual for the courier to make a delivery on a Sunday! Well, we were pleasantly surprised to find a box addressed to @lostsoulsrabbitrefuge rescue buns.....Our eyes lit up when we saw the beautiful gifts and lovely card from @resilient_bunny_treats and the buns from @thelittlegangs for our rescue buns! Such a kind gesture and greatly appreciated! Morgan has already made a pig of himself and little Phoenix flipped her lid when she saw the Mini Nana Muffins - Perfect size for a growing baby bun! We were really blown away by the #kindness and our rescue buns thankyou for your support

08.01.2022 Aribella (left) was surrendered to our care back in July - Aribella had a speed date with one of our friends rabbit (Thumpy) which we both thought would never work! After several bonding sessions with their mum, Aribella became besties with her new husbun Thumpy. Their mum sent me this update photo today and it's pretty safe to say they make THE CUTEST couple and are so in love with each other. These two are like chalk and cheese in personality but they just work together. We are so proud of Aribella + Thumpy! #updates @lou_mcflee

06.01.2022 *On Trial* Denim has joined us at Lost Souls after he found himself out on the streets of Wellard - A lovely lady contacted us after a thorough search for his owners but sadly they were never found. Denim spent a few nights at the local vet clinic where he was scanned and another search was conducted, again his owners never came forward and he wasn't microchipped. That's where Denim's sad story ends and his new life begins! 04.01.2022 *On Trial* I feel a little emotional writing about this beautiful little girl, she has been with us for a few weeks now and was surrendered to our care. Her new name is Maahi, Hindi for 'LOVE'. Sadly, she arrived very underweight, scared and hadn't been properly groomed in a long time. Her nails were very long and dew claws curled back into the paw. We have done everything we can in the last few weeks for Maahi, today as I took a few candid photos I can see just how far she h...as come. Her coat is so shiney with all her dead moulted coat off her body, her weight is stable, her eyes bright and she has hope again for a better future. Maahi looks completely different to when she arrived, so proud of her. Our friends at @theunusualpetvets Murdoch took care of Maahi last week whilst she was desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her recovery has been seamless (Thankyou Dr Lucinda!) and she is slowly coming out of her shell again. Maahi is a very special bun, she is just 12 months old and is slowly learning to trust humans again. Welcome Maahi #Maahi

02.01.2022 Big THANKYOU to Michelle from the Perth @animalrescuecooperative who donated 4 x 15kg bags of @catmate_ litter to our rescue. As you can imagine we go through 100's of bags of Cat Mate litter every year and these 4 bags will save us $100! That $100 saving goes back to helping the buns in our care that require that little extra TLC (vetwork). As we are a private rescue, we do pay full retail price for all our food, litter, hay which does add up very quickly and is paid for out of our personal savings. Huge thankyou again to #petbarnfoundation and #arc for giving us little guys a chance and supplying (free of charge) the litter for our rescued buns - GREATLY APPRECIATED!
