25.01.2022 35 years ago, the 25-year-old Ayrton Senna was behind the wheel of a Lotus 97T racing at the 1985 Portuguese Grand Prix. It is the day the world saw Senna's masterful on-track performance claiming the Brazilian his first of 41 F1 victories. With a lap record and finishing over a minute ahead of his nearest competitor, it was a sign that an outstanding racing legend was on the scene. He was quoted as saying It was a hard, tactical race, corner by corner, lap by lap, because c...onditions were changing all the time. The car was sliding everywhere it was very hard to keep the car under control. Once I had all four wheels on the grass, totally out of control, but the car came back on the circuit.
