22.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE A CHILD ENROLLED IN CHILD CARE: Whether youve lost your job or are keeping your child home to prevent the spread of cor...onavirus, please dont un-enrol your child. If youve lost your job or are working reduced hours, theres financial support you can access. Please dont just pull your child out of care. To access financial support, log on to MyGov and apply for temporary financial hardship (see below screenshot). This means the government may pay your childcare fees IN FULL for 13 weeks. If youre choosing to keep your child home, the government has extended the number of allowable absences that can be covered by the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). This may support you to keep your child home and still receive the CCS. Remember, keeping your child enrolled will help your child care service to continue paying educators. It will also ensure that your child care service doesnt go bankrupt and that you can return to work when our economy is ready to get back on track.

19.01.2022 I like paper plates more than anything else in the daycare, No need to buy anything fancy, complicated or expensive for my kids to get creative with. We used dthem for making exciting educational activities such as teaching numbers, shapes or even making puzzles.

18.01.2022 Providing opportunities for children to actively use their senses as they explore their world through sensory play is crucial to brain development it helps to build nerve connections in the brains pathways.

08.01.2022 Mushrooms are popping up everywhere around Sydney and NSW after the rain. Remember never to pick and eat mushrooms from the wild. Supervise children playing out...doors, they may well find mushrooms that were not in the lawn this morning. Many varieties can cause poisoning which could result in kidney or liver damage. If someone has eaten wild mushrooms call the Poisons Centre at anytime on 131126. #preventpoisons #mushrooms See more

06.01.2022 The Government has failed to tell the public that they are not covering of child care fees. They are only going to pay your educator 50% and that is it - your... educator can not ask for the other 50% to be paid. They did not consult on this they just publicly announced it - they have TOLD your educator that they are now being paid 50% less. Told that this will come into effect within 82 hours after being announced - funny how quickly the Government can move when they are destroying a sector. You can’t go into a shop and only pay 50% of the advertised price. Imagine pick an item for $100 and just walking up handing over $50 and walking out - no discussion no anything just doing it. Well that is what the Federal Government has done to the early childhood education and care sector and to YOUR FDC EDUCATOR. Stand up and be counted - stand up for sole traders as that is what your educator is - Stand up for our sector Sarah Mitchell MLC Gladys Berejiklian Dan Tehan MP NSW Family Day Care Association See more
