Michelle O’Rourke Psychologist BEnvScMng, GradDipEd, GradDipPsych, BA(Psych)Hons Michelle is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Michelle has experience within primary and secondary educational settings providing assessment and support for a range of presentations including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex trauma and intellectual impairment. In the private sector, Michelle has a breadth of experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma related disorders, behaviour management, interpersonal issues and conflict. Michelle has a passionate approach to therapy and provides an atmosphere of support, empathy and trust and works with clients across the lifespan from 7 years old, to adolescents and adults. Using a client-centred approach, she works with clients to achieve their goals, overcome challenges, and improve their quality of life. Michelle uses a variety of evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy, play-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing.

08.01.2022 Lotus Therapy Gympie has a new Occupational Therapist Eli working with us on Wednesday’s. Eli is working with teens, developing social skills, self-regulation skills and managing their mental health. Eli graduated with honours as an Occupational Therapist from the University of the Sunshine Coast. He is fortunate to have lived and worked around the world, and has a background working with individuals with ASD. Eli likes to think outside the box, and provide flexible therapy to his clients. He enjoys finding creative ways to connect to clients’ inbuilt motivation, inspiring change in their lives. We are excited to have Eli join our team and he does still have a few spots available for NDIS participants, so please email [email protected] to discuss possible sessions.
