25.01.2022 Shit I did not mean to add a donate button.. Trying to delete..please ignore..
24.01.2022 An hour on the phone to centre link not to make a claim, but to change address to continue making the already started claim online.. The temp address we were going to stay at is now changed as we can not find work and need to go where there is a place to live.. Can not make a claim at an address not arrived at yet THE FUCK??? So we moved in yesterday .. This is just the what Shannon thought to be the easy bit...the paperwork , the amounts of documents and proof of everything .....jobs, houses, bank statements ALL THE PROOF to make a claim to tied you over so you can eat... How the fuck do these sweet people on the street ever hope to get anything through trying the RIGHT WAY... The right way is close to impossible and even though I too need to make a claim I am doubtful any help will come of it as I dont have all the paperwork..... . . And yet this same system that is not helping Australian citizens in need, can chase down a debt from 5 years ago and (all the information they think they know is fucken wrong) tell me all the reasons I owe them $6000 all the places I work and for how long.... So the whole system is just rigged to keep the homeless homeless, the poor with little hope and those finding themselves in need out of emergency or redundancy or injury with no chance of getting back from what has knocked them down... This is my rant ... Keep taking our brothers and sisters on the street.. Blankets, socks, warmth in these winter months...check in and ask if they need anything else if you can.. Much love to you all. See more
22.01.2022 We walked looking for Alan or James and along our travels we met Joe sitting in the shade of the footbridge where ponyfish is. We offered her a feed and a cold drink and she just lit up.. She asked us what charity we work for and we explained so far its just us.. "You do this just off your own back, wow girls you both amazing people thank you" Turns out she knew Alan and she helped point out some people that need a feed around the area.. We ran down the bridge to Alan as we w...ere giving him some chicken and sandwich a hippie looking dude with dress we had earlier seen selling his paintings called us "righteous" for feeding people for the sake of it... We left the esky took the last of the food and wandered off to find some more hungry folks. See more
21.01.2022 Been awhile...but this page is about what you can do when you can do it and how it can just fit into your life like any other thing.... There are some photos an people from our last outing I will try to put up now I do apologize. Technology took it out of our hands.. Its about the act not the brag we all know...but this page doesnt exist without sharing of stories, good deeds, bad and good experience, amazing people, and just simple things. We will be taking jumpers and stuf...f sunday as its getting cold, may have found a lovely to donate soup and extras from his cafe (but yet to know if he would like himself or the place to be named)... Over the last couple of months I have met some terrible and amazing people... There are some real arseholes on the street and some real arseholes who dont..... But there are more importantly some real caring, sweet and amazing people on and off the street and this page Louder than words wants them to get to know each other so we can have better experiences when it come to helping and being helped.... Lets keep this ball rolling, maybe its rolling slow but its rolling as long as there is someone to push... A massive thanks for the donations of jumpers, clothes and kids clothes.. Anything they do not need out there we will take to The Kala space on lygon where they employ a few homeless women.. See more
21.01.2022 Some more photos from the day out and about...for now there are only a couple willing to chat but we will be out next week and obviously try with others.
21.01.2022 It looks as though not much is happening with our louder than words project ATM, but while we are both so very busy we have a easy help that all can do.. Buy a bunch of warm socks and gloves (Kmart is evil but also cheap so Kmart we go) keep a bag or two of these in your car, when you are out and about and see someone out in the cold they will be happy to get the small warmth you can offer... If you want to go a little farther .. Put together in 1 size a bag of hand me down g...oodies... Personally we put in a towl, blanket if you have any to spare, trackies, T-shirt, jumper or hoodie this way if you see someone about that size, you can hand them a bag of comfort.. There is always other stuff you can chuck in like.. Toothbrush, condom, tampons if it is a feminine bag, babywipes... This is not hard to do it makes you feel good being helpful and may save a life in the cold.. And thank you if you do find the time to do this ..much love. See more
19.01.2022 Loaded with my north face back pack for Alan as the council the week before took everything he had, and a couch cushion attached so he can sit somewhere soft. The dog peed on the other couch cushion so we threw the thing outside (goes to show the things you throw out can really be turned from rubbish to comfort quiet easily) also an esky full of chicken salad and a butt load of ham and cheese toasties, with a. Few cold soft drinks and a a 12 pack of water. All up cost was around $70 for enough food to feed around 15 people well. But jeeze was quiet a hot little hike wasnt as easy as sitting up in a hotel waiting for them to come to us... But we had made a commitment.

09.01.2022 So we went out yesterday, with big plans,. I was so hungover that I had to let it out in the carpark when we got to the city..(2 day bender before good deed day not very smart). We had blankets, jumpers, trackies, t-shirts shorts shoes and one slutty sailor costume, all donated by the fantastic humans that Shannon trains ... Did we find anyone to give stuff to, nope, no Joe, no Alan, no Shawn James or Dave we hope they are housed and thats why we saw no one..but we found t...he lovely keelly a sweet woman who is genuinely caring and smart...we gave her blankets and warm clothes . she gave Shannon a book. Not massive success but the rest of the donations we drove to kala space on lygon street, where we know that every penny of profit pays the staff, who were fortunate enough to run into Donna the woman that runs period project. And now employees a few homeless women in her op shop.. So Sunday was a slow good deeds day sometimes it is.. But theres always next time an 1 person sleeping warmly is a success in my eyes.. Till next time much love and of course do something small and tell us about it on here... Louder than words is so we can all have a good deed day or moment shared and hopefully mimicked See more
