24.01.2022 What a beautiful first day coming back from lock down. Children were very happy and excited all day long to play with others. They had such a fun sunny day where we spent most of the day outdoors playing and reconnecting and that is how we develop through play. Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. 22.01.2022 Dear Scott Morrison First of all I wanted to say thanks for finally addressing Childcare yesterday you announced that families would receive free day care -clap clap great news for families But did you tell the nation the flip side of this generous gesture to all the families I run a Family Day Care and am now going to be paid half of what I earned and to make up my wages I now have to apply for Job Keepers allowance which is not set up yesterday so we wont receive any mon...ey until the 1st May but I am still expected to work for four weeks with half pay ... You looked after people who are unemployed giving them all $750 because they are vulnerable will Scott Morrison you have now made me vulnerable and I still have to put in 10hour days plus after the children go clean and disinfect more rigorously than before plus do all the documentation that is required by law Thanks Scott Morrison you could have a least ensured that Job Keepers was up and running before you forced self employed people to join who had a viable business which is looking after children of frontline workers ... who are getting paid for their work and surely I am classified as a frontline worker but you obviously dont think we deserve to be paid for our work .... thank you Scott Morrison you have really disappointed me and the whole Family Day care sector And I forgot to mention that if we have filled any vacancies in the last 2 weeks we will not be paid for them because they are looking at our numbers from a fortnight ago ( beginning of March ) do another slap in the face See more
