25.01.2022 A client asked me to complete a considerable mail merge for a critical notice for his entire client database. I haven’t done one in a while but was totally geeking out on it. I’d forgotten how much I love the process of a mail merge.. haha.. I know some of you are laughing at me out there, but seriously it’s a task I juts love to do. It’s the satisfaction of seeing an entire process from beginning to end for me, from setting up the data list to printing, folding the letters ...perfectly, and the pleasure of seeing the address line up perfectly inside the window of the envelope. This is what makes my job so fun. I only do the jobs and tasks that I enjoy. Anything else I subcontract out to another VA who is just as passionate as I am about tasks I’d rather not do.
25.01.2022 Stand On The Shoulders Of Giants Find five people doing precisely what you are doing and are succeeding at it. Why is this important? We spend so long trying to re-invent the wheel when people before us have made all the mistakes already and have come out the other side with an ongoing successful business. ... Take notes from their website, social media, blogs, branding. Create a list of things you like about each of the five businesses. Doing this will help you to get a clearer picture of the service you are trying to deliver. It will also help you work out if there is a market there for your product or service. If you dont find five people successful at the same thing you want to deliver, It would be a wise move to spend more time be digging further. It can be an untouched market, but it will most likely be a product or service that isnt in demand. https://www.louiseevans.com.au//4-crucial-steps-for-start/

23.01.2022 The moment you mutter the words Im thinking of starting a business, Unwarranted opinions come flying in from every direction about what you should do to get started. Starting your own business can be exciting, but it can also be overwhelming and exhausting, trying to work out what first steps to take. You are going to have to take some risks, girl! Read more here... https://www.louiseevans.com.au//4-crucial-steps-for-start/

22.01.2022 We all need coffee in our lives! Its like a fuel to keep us going and gives us the right amount of kick to get through any day! May it be a hectic day or a chill schedule, a hot beverage is just a comforting drink that truly suits everyone! But sometimes we forget our brews when we are too caught up with the tasks and they end up turning cold. May it be coffee, tea or coco, hot drinks gone cold is such a sad concept to gulp in. Good thing this gadget is such a lifesaver for your drink thats been left untouched! https://www.louiseevans.com.au/20//26/electric-mug-warmer/

21.01.2022 Fun Fact About My Virtual Assistant Journey I started out with just one client for 10 hours a week doing general administrative duties, then I added another client and another.. offering all of them general services. Only recently I have niched my services to provide tech-based V.A services. The going thought in the VA industry is to niche as quick as you can. However, I dont share that belief. Until you have worked out what you like to do, what you dont like to do and wha...t your clients want from you. I dont think spending time on a niche or branding is worth it. When you have a solid grasp on who you are in the VA arena Then and only then can you start tightening your niche. Its ok to be a general VA for as long as you need. Do you have a question you would like to ask me. Go to www.louiseevans.com.au/question

14.01.2022 Being a virtual assistant is more than working from home. You have to juggle your daily routine, your inevitable house chores, the deadline-nearing tasks for work while not forgetting to take care of yourself! Sure, you may have control of your time but sometimes when things get rough, they end up controlling you. Having lost track of time may reduce your rest, family time or even running behind to the point that you may lose clients! Give yourself a helping han...d to get through your workload every day by monitoring your time. Its important to have time tracking tools to help you with time management. Youd be efficient not only at work but for your daily routine as well! Time trackers are common and there are dozens of which you can use. Some of them have charges while some are free, so it can be pretty tricky to find the one that suits you and your schedule. Here are some time tracking tools that I recommend you to test out: https://www.louiseevans.com.au//5-top-time-tracking-tools/ See more

11.01.2022 Communication is important when you are working from home. Such process cannot even be removed even in the digital world and your virtual work. Most of the time, you may need to report to your team and clients beyond the emails and exchange of messages. You may need to verbalize certain instructions or present your proposals through speaking with the clients. Read more https://www.louiseevans.com.au/category/top_va_buys/
11.01.2022 Get a support team You will come across many naysayers that wont believe in you and will spit words at you to discourage you from taking a risk and living life on your terms. Just remember that they are judging your visions and goals based on their limitations, not yours. If you can find three people who can provide unbiased support (so what I am trying to say here is family sometimes isnt the best option) ... Aim for someone running a successful business, a business coach/mentor, and a friend who is supportive of your idea but wont sugarcoat the truth and help you make constructive choices. https://www.louiseevans.com.au//4-crucial-steps-for-start/

04.01.2022 Skills Download You know you want to start a business of some sort, but you dont know what you would do. Here is an exercise I use with my clients. Get a pad of sticky notes and then write down all the skills you have that you would be able to do without any help or guidance if someone asked you to do this skill. Write down all the jobs you do in the house, in your current employment, past employment. ... Now ask your friends (a simple post on your Facebook wall will do) and ask your friends this question Im trying to learn a little bit about myself and wanted to know what one thing you would come to me for advice or help with? You will be amazed at what people will say, and it will give you great insight into what people already perceive you to know. The last thing you want to do is look at your browsing history and note what you search. Stick all these items on a wall and tear down anything you dislike doing or see as a chore. I might be great at ironing but for me. I cant see myself starting an ironing business. Get the drift? Once you have a shortlist, get researching and move on to step 2! https://www.louiseevans.com.au//4-crucial-steps-for-start/
