17.01.2022 Rain Event - Today and Tonight A SEVERE weather alert is in place for southeast Queensland, with flash flooding and up to 500mm of rain expected to fall. It is expected that rainfall will increase throughout the day. All schools in South-East Queensland have been closed, and Emergency Services have recommended that, where possible, everyone stays indoors and off the roads. As a precaution, and as recommended by Police and Emergency Services, our office will be closing at... midday today as the peak of the bad weather is expected around 3.00pm. We understand that many of our managed properties may be adversely effected by the extreme weather today. Unfortunately, many of our Contractors have already closed business for the day. Whilst there is very little that will be able to be attended to today or tonight, please register any damage caused or maintenance required via the Tenant/Maintenance Request tab on our website www.louisegriffin.com.au or email [email protected]. 09.01.2022 We had a wonderful time this afternoon at the Stones Corner Festival. There was incredible food, some very obscure yet tasty brews, rocking music and an incredible energy! It was great to see so many people come out to celebrate the spirit of our community! Today really showcased how the local businesses contribute to making Stones Corner a unique and special place. Everybody put in such an amazing effort. We hope it was a successful day of raising funds for today's charity ...partner: MND and ME Foundation! Did any of you make it today? 05.01.2022 Timely Insurance Reminder. Tenants in one of our managed properties at Carina thankfully escaped injury this afternoon when a car lost control and ploughed at high speed into the rental property, moving the entire house off its stumps, trapping the two occupants inside, and destroying most of their possessions. Thankfully, no serious physical injuries were suffered in this incident, but it will take some time for all involved to recover emotionally. As a tenant, you are responsible for the insurance of your own possessions in a rented property. Take the time to check that you are covered and prevent some of the trauma that these tenants are now experiencing.
