08.01.2022 We are open for business! The following was recently sent to our employees who are committed to serving you, the industry and wider community. This outlines the steps we are taking to minimise the exposure to COVID-19. We all need to work together and as always appreciate your support.... These are distressing times. The COVID-19 virus impact on health, business and employment has and continues to be devastating. Through your efforts Louis Melbourne has been able to continue to provide fresh fruit and vegetable to the industry and wider community. Thank you. We continue to closely monitoring the MMA and government reaction to the outbreak. We recently introduced measures aimed at diminishing your exposure to the COVID-19 whilst enabling Louis Melbourne to continue to serve the wider community. As you are aware we have split Louis Melbourne into 3 teams. The teams will effectively be isolated from one another giving us the ability to contain any spread of the virus to that one team. Any updates to these measures will come via your direct Manager. We need your help to reduce the risk 1. If you feel unwell, stay at home. 2. Wash your hands 3. Don’t touch your face 4. Practice social distancing 5. Communicate any concerns Team 1 - Warehouse The warehouse will continue to operate as normal. The warehouse team will have no physical interaction with the store personal. Forklift deliveries to the store will have a designated drop off spot. No non-warehouse staff will NOT be permitted to enter the premises during normal warehouse hours or while warehouse employee are on sight. Warehouse employees will NOT be permitted to enter the store or office. Team 2 and 3 Store Teams 2 and 3 are made up of Store (floor) staff including salesmen. Your team will continue to operate as normal on a weekly rostered basis. Full time employees who are rostered off will continue to be paid in full for that week. Salesmen who are rostered off will work from home. Team 2 and 3 will NOT be permitted to enter the warehouse Operational staff rostered off may be required to work afternoon shifts but will have no physical contact with other teams. Casual staff will be paid as and when they work. Your Wellbeing Whilst we remain open for business the wellbeing of our staff is at the forefront of our minds. The MMA have today confirmed an individual has tested positive for COVID-19. At this stage there is only limited information available. Your choice to work is a personal decision which we will fully support. If you are concerned about your health, work, environment or procedure please contact your manager or myself.
