22.01.2022 Something a little different today, an original Air Chief AM radio from a ‘76 HJ Kingswood wagon, with no reception and noisy volume control. Back it the day before iPhones & iPads this was car entertainment on those long trips, and the means to keep up to date with local news and weather. All electrolytic capacitors replaced ( AKA a Re-Cap), volume and tone control pots serviced and now picking up 1152 2WG (Now Triple M Riverina) like a new one. While primarily repair iPhones & iPads we can assist at times with those unique electronic repairs. This one for my old man, AKA, a Love job

06.01.2022 Have you had a Hard Drive or Memory Card that failed to read or access? At the end of last week this 1TB WD MyBook HDD came in for data recovery, after another computer place was unable to recover anything from drive, we had previously recovered all data from a water damaged iPhone for the customer. The external HDD was in a dead state, not turning on or being recognised. The USB enclosures USB interface had failed, but had corrupted data on the internal SATA HDD, making to u...nreadable on a Mac or PC. Here are LOVE iT Repairs & Service we've invested in some professional recovery software and tools for cases like this when drives are unreadable. We were able to access the drive and after a weekend of scanning we were able to rebuild, save and backup 380GB of the customers data from the last 8 years, including irreplaceable photos, videos and other data. As long as the HDD itself hasn't had an internal hardware failure, we can help out in most cases. Do not rely on one drive to store all your precious data, putting all your eggs in one basket, as electronics can fail at times, always keep backups on two drives or locations, cloud, HDD, or PC/Mac incase one drive fails. Luckily a win for the customer in this case

04.01.2022 An iPhone 6 Plus that hit the road and lost it’s entire screen assembly, damaging a number of small parts attached to it. New Original LCD screen assembly with new front camera/ mic/ earpiece speaker and home button, and back in action for one happy customer

04.01.2022 iPad 6th Gen mid repair with broken screen and LCD removed, and finished repair, good as new. Note under the LCD about 80% of the space is occupied by a large battery, this is why iPads require a higher capacity 10W or 12W charger to charge correctly, vs a 5W iPhone charger. Chargers look the same but rated differently so easy to mix up with multiple devices, if iPad is slow to charge, the first thing to check, rating marked on charger.

03.01.2022 The moment when you work late on a water damaged iPhone 8 Plus that wasn’t booting up, to try and save what money can’t replace, over 180GB of data, photos/videos/contacts/messages/notes/app data, and finally see phone boot up and works enough so can enter passcode to access, a key step in being able to backup data from a damaged phone. The customer literally has years of their life on this phone (when was the last time you backed up your phone?), so we treat water damaged p...hones as emergency cases and dry and clean ASAP for best chance of getting phone functional to save data, as water and electronics don’t mix well, usually causing corrosion and permanent damage. 02.01.2022 A long shot but one of our beloved customers has left her white iPhone 8 in a trolley in the car park of the marketplace this afternoon, mainly wanting phone back as contains photos of her late Mother, phones can be replaced but irreplaceable photos can’t be. Phone is iCloud locked and in Lost Mode, so whomever tries to use will be promted with this info with Janice’s contact number and location tracked.
