24.01.2022 Acupuncture and yoga may seem to be very different from each other, but when we dive deeper into the roots of both of these holistic therapies, we can see a strong connection in how they both boost health and vitality. A combination of these two therapies can create a wonderful symphony of healing. A blended session may be used to facilitate healing of the mind, body and soul as well as distressing your being and easing the weight of daily life. It also will stimulate the int...ernal healing mechanisms of the organs and harmonise the whole system. * * If your interested in finding out more about how yoga and acupuncture can compliment each other, check out my blog.... the link is in my bio. * * New yoga and acupuncture events are now happening. 23.01.2022 As we move into spring, you can feel the change in the air and change in the energy around us. Spring is about renewal, its when the trees come back to life, the flowers start blossoming and the animals come out of hibination to procreate. Accordong to Chinese medicine and the five elements theory. The universe and external environment goes through phases that influence the internal environment of our body, rolling in cycles that feed into and influence each other. ... As we move from winter, the period of water and the Kidneys, we move into spring the period of wood and Liver energy. The Liver energy is one of vibrancy, movement, expansion. It can also become stagnant when the expansive movements have been inhibited by stress or frustration, leading to irritability or a short temper. Its an important time to move, breath, and enjoy the new found vibrancy of this season. Spring and its association with the Liver, also correlates to the wind. And as we know spring is hay fever season. The new winds abundant in spring, blow pollen and seeds around, not only nurturing regeneration of plants but also bothering many of us sensitive hay fever types. Its a good idea to consume local honey through winter and spring to boost the immune system to support the bodies ability to naturally adapt to local pollens. Remember to get outdoors, lap up the sun and do things that bring joy and energy to your life. Be at one with the seasons and see how easily life flows and disease is inhibited. 21.01.2022 Believing in yourself means having faith in your own capabilities. When you believe in yourself, you can create confidence and overcome self-doubt in order to achieve your goals. You need to be able to believe in yourself , your abilities and skills to take the leap into entrepreneurship or any other aspiration. Believing in yourself is important in leadership, as self-confidence lets you inspire others with assurance and direction. Learning how to believe in yourself is crit...ical to creating your dream life. At the core of self-belief is realizing that you, and you alone are the creator of your own success. This is where personal power is built. Believing in yourself isnt about constant success. Its about finding inner strength in accepting life, with all its ups and downs. It is realising that every challenge brings new strength and lessons learnt. Steps to build your self believe: m 1. Incorporate a practice of self-affirmation into your morning routine. 2. Self-respect is the foundation of self-belief. If you dont respect yourself, how can you ever learn to believe in yourself? 3. Change your self-talk. Be kind to yourself. 4. Surround yourself with people who inspire and support you! A personal shout out to these girls @ladainozzieland @kerolajna_ @victoryyoga.com.au @photography_nina_ko 5. 20.01.2022 I love gua sha and especially facial gua sha. This shaped tool is my favourite, with the different shaped sides for different areas of the face and the body. Its not only rejuvenating to the face, its also very relaxing and great for de-stressing the muscles in the face. The micro trauma cased by the gentle scraping technique initiates the healing process, allowing the production of collagen as well as bringing new blood, oxygen and nutrients to the face. Facial gua sha isn...t a quick fix but will definitely brighten your complexion and give you that make-up free glow. 20.01.2022 Thanks @house__of__shen for this beautiful photo Lung 7 or broken sequence is a beautiful point situated on the lateral wrist, following the line from the top of your thumb. This point is a multi- dimensional point that can used in a variety cases and can be incredibly powerful when used in an acupressure session. Lu7 is commonly used for disorders related to the lungs such as wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath or sinus issues. ... It also connects to its Yin Yang pairing organ system, the Large Intestine, which has a connection to the face and sense organs meaning it supports in cases of headaches, and stiff neck in cases of colds and flu. This point is great in cases of colds and flu or what we would term, an exterior attack. This point vents the disease from the exterior of the body allowing you to recover quicker. Lu7 also supports in emotional disorders, and is able to open the lungs and allow a breath of fresh air in times of grief and sadness. It not only treats Lungs and Large Intestine but the Conception vessel, which supports fertility and menstrual disorders as well as supporting the overall Yin or cooling mechanisms of the body. When selecting this point, focus your intention on what you would like to achieve and allowing the natural healing mechanisms to work their magic. Stimulate this point for at least 1 minute 3x a day, using mild pressure or a circular motion. #lung7 #acupressure #acupressurepoints #acupuncture #loveacupuncture #sydneyacupuncture #sydneyhealth #selfheal #healingenergy #northernbeacheslocal #northernbeacheslocalbusiness
18.01.2022 Neck and shoulder tension is an epidemic in our society. Tension in the neck and shoulders can restrict blood flow to the head and face, constrict the chest, suppressing deep breathing and cause overall pain, tension and irritation. As you can see in this photo, a combination of needle work and cupping was able to relieve tension in the neck and shoulders and release the mid back. We can see these areas tighten in periods of stress.....And we all know acupuncture is number o...ne for de-stressing! 17.01.2022 Coconut is not only delicious but an amazingly versatile product. Its delicious as a dried breakfast topping or in your favourite bliss balls or even as a milk alternative. Its oil is not only decadent to cook with but amazing on your skin or hair! Coconut oil has been known to have antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties due to antimicrobial lipids, lauric acid, capric acid, and caprylic acid. It also promotes better absorption of vitamins, minerals, and amino ...acids. As an antioxidant, it protects the body from harmful free radicals that promote premature aging and degenerative disease. Coconut has also been shown to provide relief from the inflammation caused by candida, both externally and internally. Coconut oil may also support good oral health, with the practice of oil pulling reducing harmful bacteria in the mouth, and drawing out toxins from the body. In Chinese Medicine, coconut enters the Lungs and Spleen, supporting immune and digestive functions. It also tonifies Qi and nourishes the Yin. This means its nourishing to the body in building energy as well as being moistening and cooling. It can also aid in cases of malnutrition and fatigue. Whats your favourite way to use coconut oil?? I love to add a heaped teaspoon to my morning black coffee!! Or to use it in my homemade body scrubs!! #loveacupuncture #acupuncturist #acupunctureheals #nutrition #lovefoods #coconutoil #lovecoconut #foodasmedicine #nourishyourself #northernbeaches #lovesydney See more

15.01.2022 Tight muscles or sore back? Chinese cupping therapy may be the answer! Cupping is commonly used for musculoskeletal conditions. When circulation becomes compromised, due to poor posture, overuse or trauma, the area may become stiff and tight. When these areas are tight, blood circulation becomes stagnant and lacks new oxygen and nutrients. Cupping helps to reestablish the micro circulation, cleaning out old blood and lymph, bringing in back into healthy circulation. It also ...helps to stretch the fascia and soft tissue to help relive tension and stress. 14.01.2022 Shoulder and neck tension is an epidemic in todays society. Slouching over your work desk, always looking down at your iPhone, working in hospitality carrying heavy plates or overworking at the gym... the causes are endless. Neck and shoulder tension can be debilitating and relentless. It can lead to poor sleep, grumpy moods, shortness of breath and general malaise. In Chinese Medicine we view the neck and shoulders as the pivot between the head and the torso. It connects he...aven and earth. It has many meridians running through this area that become constricted due to poor posture or trauma. The main disharmony I see, is stagnation in the Gallbladder channel that runs through the tops of the shoulder into the nape of the neck. This channel very often becomes blocked when we are stressed and shallow breathe. Acupuncture to the local area works wonders in reliving this tension. It opens the meridians and releases the muscles, giving a renewed sense of space and flexibility. It can bring so much relief, youll feel like a new person. * * * Book your next appointment via Insta or FB or simply flick me an email or txt * *Love yourself, Love Acupuncture https://loveacupuncture.com.au * * * #loveacupuncture #stress #stressreduction #neckandshoulderpain #hospolife #officelife #acupuncture #acupunctureworks #acupuncturist #acupuncturelife #acupuncturestudent #acupunctureforlife #lookafteryourself #northernbeachesbusiness #northernbeacheslocal #northernbeachessydney #northernbeachesmum See more
14.01.2022 What is that bruise? In Chinese medicine, we use a technique called cupping to help relive pain and tension. Cupping is commonly used for musculoskeletal conditions. When circulation becomes compromised, due to poor posture, overuse or trauma, the area may become stiff and tight. When these areas are tight, blood circulation becomes stagnant and lacks new oxygen and nutrients. Cupping helps to reestablish the micro circulation, cleaning out old blood and lymph, bringing in b...ack into healthy circulation. It also helps to stretch the fascia and soft tissue to help relive tension. My neck has been sore for a while and Im constantly feeling tightness in my shoulder and neck causing headaches. As you can see from the darkness of my cupping marks, the healthy blood circulation in my neck has been compromised, giving rise to the tension. After this session my neck and shoulders felt sooo good and instantly relaxed me. Cupping isnt scary or painful, if anything its delightfully relaxing. These marks will usually stick around for 2-3 days and disappear on their own. 12.01.2022 Short intro video as to what acupuncture is all about.
12.01.2022 Just remember to breath. Such a simple sentence, yet so many of us are just holding on, forgetting to expand our lungs and nourish our bodies. The Lungs are such an important part of our body. It is the unconscious breath that keeps us alive. It nourishes the body bringing vital Qi to the whole system. The lungs are also associated with the nose and the skin. The skin provides our body with a protective layer, and can also be associated with personal boundaries and self estee...m. The lungs are associated with the emotion of sadness, and when we go through periods of sadness or grief, it can dissipate the energy of the lungs, causing a shallowness of breath and a rounding in of the shoulders. When we are stressed and busy, it is a common habit to shallow breathe, which constricts the diaphragm and creates tension in the shoulders and neck while giving rise to anxiety. When we dont breath to our full capacity, you may also feel fatigued, have poor immune function and poor circulation. Its important to take a few minutes everyday to stop and take a full, deep breath, expanding the lungs and letting it all go. The out breath is equally as important as the in breath. Exercises such as swimming or yoga can also help expand the lungs and brings more Qi to the body and calm the mind. Tapping the lungs and chest or doing chest opening stretches can open the space in the upper cavity allowing the opportunity for a deeper more nourishing breath. Remember to love yourself. * * * * Check out my profile for lots of interesting content and book your next appointment via Insta or FB or simply flick me an email or txt * *Love yourself, Love Acupuncture https://loveacupuncture.com.au * * * #loveacupuncture #acupuncture #acupunctureworks #acupuncturist #acupuncturelife #acupuncturestudent #acupuncturistsofinstagram #acupunctureforlife #liveyourdream #liveyourtruth #loveyourself #loveyourlungs #breathedeep #lungs #northernbeachesbusiness #northernbeacheslocal #northernbeachesevents #northernbeachessydney #northernbeachesmums#bondibeach

09.01.2022 What do you love? Love can be interpreted in many different ways. There is love for your family, love for your friends, love for your job or passions or even love for your pet animals. We can experience love when watching a beautiful sunrise or when watching our favourite movie. One concept many people struggle with is self love. Do you love yourself? Do you often tell yourself that you love who you are, that you love your body and love who you have become? If not, why not st...art today. When we invest in love, especially self love, a special magic begins to spill into life. Compassion, gratitude and generosity should begin with oneself first. Buy that beautiful dress youve been looking at, get that mani/pedi youve been dreaming about, take a weekend away and go hiking. What ever brings love and joy into your heart, decided today to do for yourself. Loving yourself isnt vanity, its sanity. 09.01.2022 Have you heard about the Kidney meridian? The Kidney meridians starts on the bottom of your foot, runs up your inner thigh, threads its way through the spine, enters the Kidneys and connects with the Bladder. The primary channel then traverses up the abdomen, to the chest, where it terminates at the clavicle. Other branches of the channel ascends through the Liver and diaphragm, enters the Lungs and connects to the Heart and Pericardium. The Kidneys resonate with the time ...of winter. They also resonate with fear and the flavour of salt. The Kidney channel is responsible for storing the Essence, dominating reproduction, growth and development. It controls the production of marrow, it fills up the brain and assists in the production of blood. Pathologies such as lumbar pain, pain of the knees and ankle, low libido, oedema, tinnitus, poor memory, poor development, loose teeth, menstrual disorders and infertility can all be attributed to weakening of the Kidneys. Massaging the points along the Kidney meridian can help stimulate and support the Kidneys and strengthen its functions. * * Check out my profile for lots of interesting content and book your next appointment via Insta or FB or simply flick me an email or txt * *Love yourself, Love Acupuncture https://loveacupuncture.com.au * * * #loveacupuncture #acupuncture #acupunctureworks #acupuncturist #acupuncturelife #acupuncturestudent #acupunctureforlife #kidney #loveyourbody #liveyourtruth #northernbeachesbusiness #northernbeacheslocal #northernbeachessydney #northernbeachesmums See more

04.01.2022 Sleep is such an important part of our lives. We spend 1/3rd if our day in bed! Poor sleep can really throw your life out of balance, with a restless sleep cycle leaving you feeling drained and a sense of poor cognitive abilities. It Chinese medicine its a common question that we ask..... How do you sleep? And sleep issues can come into different categories. Trouble falling asleep, restless sleeping, waking up often, waking up at certain times or waking up early. All of the...se disharmonies can really make you feel terrible the next day. In Chinese medicine, we look at the organ imbalances thats causing the poor sleep, such as Liver Qi stagnation causing you to feel wired at night, or a Heart Blood or overall Blood deficiency causing you to wake up often, have lots of dreams or restless sleeping. Certain times pertain to certain organs, like are you waking up at 4am everyday? Are you suffering from some sort of grief or breathing issues, as this is the time of the Lungs. There are many overlays in these disharmonies and usually its never just one thing. In my practice I like to recommend a good sleep hygiene, such as an early dinner, letting your body digest before sleep, taking a foot bath or shower to calm and anchor the Qi and no screen time at least an hr before bed and getting to bed the same time every night. Your body likes routine, therefore its important for you body to recognise the signs that sleep time is coming. Some other techniques such as acupressure behind the ear on the point Anmian, which is about 2cm behind the ear in a slight dent can help to relax the body or massaging the bottom of your foot on your Kidney 1 point to anchor the Qi, or gua sha to head and face can also soothe the mind. * * Comment below or send me a msg if you have any questions or need advice on healthy sleep habits! * Book your next appointment now! https://loveacupuncture.com.au * * * #loveacupuncture #acupuncture #acupunctureworks #acupuncturist #acupuncturelife #acupuncturestudent #acupunctureforlife #sleeptraining #poorsleep #nourishyourself #northernbeachesbusiness #northernbeacheslocal #northernbeachessydney #smallbusinesstips See more
