25.01.2022 My privilege yesterday to conduct this wedding elopement in the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens for Duncan and Ivy. Love is so sweet!
25.01.2022 So far have had four weddings cancel to rebook later in the year. Had two weddings next weekend and now both cancelled for the time being. Tough times for many people. But remember, we will get through it. We won't be the same, but hopefully we will all be better people for it.
24.01.2022 Greetings everyone. I've uploaded the first instalment of the book/podcast I am writing. At this stage I am committing all funds raised through patrons/sponsors to the work of Humanity in Need - saving lives and trying to make life better for Rainbow Refugees in Kenya. It is an advocacy project. Too much suffering has occurred because of heretical messages of hate against many people through history, and LGBTIQ folk especially now. Please subscribe if you would like to continue hearing the podcast and if you like and are able to support there will be three monthly tiers $1 podcast $2 and $5 (available this afternoon). Of course you might elect to support in a different way. Blessings to you all. https://youtu.be/1RGu6vNQI1o Support Humanity in Need - Rainbow REfugees www.h-i-n.org/donations

09.01.2022 Did you know that hatred of LGBTIQ people is racist? In my belief racism lurks deeply and darkly in many of us and the people group we hate reveal it is alive i...n us. Never return hatred for hatred. Will you be one of our partners for a kinder, gentler world? There's been so much division and hatred over recent years. We can only hope that things are changing, but we can work towards it too. And so, we have had a very busy week and are stretching ourselves to help as many people as we can in Kenya. Support provided has been from as little as Ventolin for an asthmatic to bail and medical care for one young man arrested by police and beaten in the cells because he was gay. Another three were arrested after going to try and plead his release. Bail for each of them was significant. We are working very hard to broaden our network of supporters. None of us are wealthy and most of the support so far is from generous individuals like my pensioner friend who is committing $10 a fortnight. In the Bible it is referred to as "the widow's mite" ! As well as helping folk with small businesses, medical care and living we are committed to changing the narrative that labels these wonderful members of our human family as demon possessed and evil. Curiously most African countries accepted that sexuality was fairly fluid long before the educated west came to it, but well intentioned missionaries brought messages about sexuality that started the condemnation. So sad. You can read the history here in this well documented article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Uganda Please support us if you can. Our dream is still to create a working, caring fund that will enable to respond to needs as they arrive - assist with small business ventures and literally save lives. www.h-i-n.org/donations

01.01.2022 This weekend I have four weddings. Two are same sex. Those who oppose same sex marriage I'm afraid need to think carefully. We all suffer homophobia and other phobias too. Some of us grow through them. Some of us leave them behind. Each couple is professing love for each other that is timeless. Each couple could be judged on who they are but their love looks, sounds, feels the same. Bless 'em all, I say. And to finish: An Excerpt from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis de Be...rnières Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, It is not excitement, It is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being in love which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, And this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love, have roots that grow towards each other underground, And when all the pretty blossom have fallen from their branches, They find that they are one tree and not two.
