25.01.2022 I have, like so many of us here in Australia and the world, have watched over the past weeks the far spread and horrific bushfires with such sadness and overwhe...lming sense of loss. We cannot thank the volunteers and staff from so many sectors for endlessly providing ground floor fire fighting, supplies, medical care and relief to all those injured, traumatised and without a safe place to stay. The Love and Light Foundation continue to be of support to our local community here is SA, but in addition, over the next week on each day, I will be posting a strategy for recovery using Ayurvedic remedies - everything from natural relief from smoke inhalation to recovery from heat stroke and dehydration. Please share or tag anyone you think may find the information useful or be in touch with any additional questions. The Love and Light Foundation can also provide an onsite workshop and/or clinic through myself and The Sattva Centre free of charge for any organisation or community needing support at this time. 22.01.2022 Such inspiring day meeting with lovely Rikki and her amazing team at the Treasure Boxes head quarters, where pre-loved goods are transformed into boxes and bags of joy for many children and their families. Big thank you to all #loveandlightfoundation supporters, with your generosity we were able to make donations of clothing, toys and grocery vouchers for Treasure Boxes families for second time around this Christmas. 22.01.2022 What a week it has been. I have been a Hills girl all my life and have had a bushfire action plan since I was in kindergarten. However the beginning to this particular Summer season has been one of the most severe I have ever seen. Luckily, we and our families are safe, our homes and the clinic remain intact. Our hearts absolutely break for our fellow neighbours who have lost their homes and their businesses in these far stretched and ongoing fires. We thank so sincerely ...the unbelievably brave and selfless firefighters and volunteers in all capacities, for saving and providing safety for so many people, properties and wildlife. Over the coming weeks, or for as long as needed, the Love and Light Foundation will be providing our CFS firefighters and extended community with food, supplies and restorative care through the Sattva Centre. 19.01.2022 Such privilege to meet a few heroes of this small community in Bedugul, Bali. Thanks to every single one of our generous supporters, Love & Light Foundation was able to lend a helping hand to ensure children, who live below the poverty line, are able to attend school and receive food. I feel most humbled with the love and generosity my family and I received during our brief stay.... It’s amazing how so very little it takes to make a significant difference and how effective our help can be when we’re able to directly connect with such communities . Truly hope to continue building our connections and to contribute where we can. Love & Light to you all Poona

The vision behind this community foundation is to provide struggling Aussie families, particularly women and children, with food vouchers and hampers as well as access to free holistic health care and Ayurvedic education through The Sattva Centre. We are completely not for profit and all donations go directly to the families we support. 09.01.2022 ONWARDS Q: How are we supposed to treat others? A: There are no others. ... - Ramana Maharshi The team and I have become still over the past week. We have remained silent on this platform and other lines of social media allowing it to be used for important conversation, information and action in light of recent global events. Together as a community we have held space and had numerous, very necessary conversations, about moving forward to create greater equality for all sentient beings. We have read, researched, participated and extended hours in the clinic to be of support wherever required. However, it is also important now to reflect upon we move forward. For the issues at hand across our world, will not be solved permanently in the short term. Change needs to come from radical, long term shift of systems, language and collective behaviour. As always though, it all starts with us as individuals first - taking daily, conscious action to live out a true existence free from the entanglement of Ego and low-vibration beliefs. Having said this however, you can’t pour from an empty cup. Feeling angry, overwhelmed, disempowered, anxious and frustrated, while all completely valid emotions, are depleting states to be. In order to live out the necessary change, we must first refuel and realign from this collective experience. An embodiment of love truly is the only way forward and always conquers - for it is the absolute essence of every human being. This week, as an offering of support to all, we will be posting a variety of practices, strategies and supports to help nourish and restore. No matter how intelligent, we’re so hypocritical and ignorant that finding a new planet to live on seems a better cause to focus and spend on than to love and care for ...the beautiful one we already have. And so we destroy the very thing we love the most, to love it again once it’s lost. Today Love & Light Foundation has made donations on behalf of our generous supporters to help save the rainforest. Thanks to the amazing efforts of The Sattva Centre we made a humble contribution to purchase more than 100 acres of the rainforest for protection.
