25.01.2022 Such a privilege to be a part of this

25.01.2022 What a magical day! @lizsteedman and Ben heading into their second year - love you both and wish you continued happiness xx Delwyn

25.01.2022 Milo's last day in Broome! And guess what!! They have just opened an fabulous gin distillery here - look at what I got to taste! Moontide Distillery, Broome WA Can't tell you what my fav was but afterwards I had to have a bite to eat and that was a good old Australian staple - Damper! (that's Australian campfire bread from way back!) And for those of you with a dab-hand at baking and want to have a go at producing some, here's the recipe - good luck! And now I'm on my way home and ready for my next adventure, wherever that may be. Milo x

23.01.2022 So so nice to get messages like this! "I have to say, I am so surprised how easy you have made all the planning, it has really been effortless and we appreciate all of your hard work to make it a memorable day! We're very much looking forward to it :) " I can't tell you who it's from because they are truly eloping - no one knows at all! The photographer and hair and makeup artist will be the witnesses and the couple will have a gourmet picnic breakfast served under this very stunning cabana, on the beach, after the ceremony! Sweet! I love my job

23.01.2022 A very lucky and happy bride and groom this weekend who not only dodged the lock-down but also the rain! We persevered with the wind! Congratulations Danny & Joy xx

22.01.2022 A very special friend just dropped by a very special gift - home baked shortbread as a housewarming gift! You are so gorgeous Anthea Kirkman and so incredibly creative! I know my couples just love, love, love receiving their photos from you because you not only take care in capturing stunning photos but the way you present their package is just so fabulous too! Makes it all extra, extra special. Thank you so much - and the shortbread is delicious too

21.01.2022 Getting a snapshot like this is just pure luck! I met Dayna Holmes some years ago when I was buying a blouse. She was so incredibly helpful and I was totally impressed by this super lovely person. I gave her my card and she laughed so loudly everyone in the shop joined in - "Not a man in sight" she said. She carried my card in her coat pocket for luck and her man turned up - the fabulous Jeff. What a thrill it was to take that call and be part of their wedding day. Thank you so much Dayna for keeping my card and entrusting me with your wedding ceremony. Wishing you love and happiness always, Delwyn xx

21.01.2022 How fabulous was this! Kristina and Steffen were served a 3 course meal on the beach after their sunset wedding ceremony. We had the perfect evening, warm (well hot really) and NO wind!! Thanks Trenna The Vintage Parlour you did an amazing job!!

21.01.2022 Some guys just know how to make a girl feel special! What a pleasure it was Terry and Ateh to be your celebrant, thank you so much and I wish you happiness always. x

21.01.2022 Milo's Broome adventures continue! So here I am, doing something none of you can do!! Resting on a Dessert Rose! Sunning myself in a dinosaur's foot print at Gantheaume Point! How about 'Milo on the Rocks' at Roebuck Bay? A little romance too at Moonrise :) And me posing with a few famous Australian products, Bushman Repellent and @marine blue before I went for a swim - even Bunnings Warehouse Australia gets a plug!! And I nearly forgot my favourite VEGEMITE !! That's for after my swim... Cant wait until tomorrow - and more Broome history! x

19.01.2022 I just love it when couples are willing to do their own thing and Chelsea and Greg are one of those couples! After trying to organise all sorts of options for their wedding they just decided to elope and to top it all off Chelsea wore red! Fabulous #chelseamellor And having your sister by your side on your special day is, well, - just fun :) Hugs Chelsea! xx

18.01.2022 A super magical wedding with such a special couple who were prepared to live overseas for more than a year while they were waiting and hoping for a visa to come through. Beautiful memories captured by Jacqueline Jane and her brother @Thomasvangrootelvideo. Lots of love to you Lucinda Ilves and Kristian - always! xx

17.01.2022 This is very humbling for me to receive a Thank You like this. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to make dreams come true but you need an amazing team to get it done and the real heroes behind this wedding magic are all mentioned in this link: https://www.myweddingwish.org/project/ben-and-tanika/ So proud and grateful to have played a small role in a very special day. A big thanks to everyone, over and over again Delwyn

17.01.2022 Mike & Beccy contacted me from Austria at a time of day that I knew must mean it was 6am their time! So I asked them if they were 'Early Birds'! Indeed they were so we decided on a sunrise wedding ceremony at Bells Rapids. Mike collects VW Combies and could hardly believe it when I told him I could get a stretch VW Beatle to drive them around for the day from Mark Kool Kombis Perth. It was so romantic and of course we saw loads of kangaroos on the way up, which made their day. Mirjam A Bunch of Joy WA made the matching bouquet and Anthea The Love Story Photography recorded all the special moments of the day. Thanks Rebecca Dorer and Mike for choosing me to be your celebrant - lots of love to you both always xx

16.01.2022 Love this idea! If you know any cafes doing this please let me know

15.01.2022 Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and an absolutely fabulous 2020 filled with lots of happy smiles and laughter. Love and Best Wishes always, Delwyn xx

15.01.2022 Trish and Pernai - they are the elephants at Perth Zoo - were so well behaved and and entertaining! During the signing both painted a masterpiece on canvas which Mel and Marylou were able to take home. Just an amazing afternoon - thanks again Mmes Wallace, I feel so privileged!

14.01.2022 Milo's day of culture in Broome! It started out pretty scary when Aunty Judy carried through on a threat from yesterday - that she would turn me into crocodile bait!! - I came home late from having a few drinks...I was drinking Furphy - made by Little Creatures Brewing - you might be wondering what a Furphy is so here's the culture bit! According to Wiki - "A furphy is Australian slang for an erroneous or improbable story that is claimed to be factual. Furphies are supposedly... 'heard' from reputable sources, sometimes secondhand or thirdhand, and widely believed until discounted." :) So I was glad when the rest of the day turned out to be more relaxed! I actually got to whisper in the ear of a great man - Lord McAlpine - who helped make the town of Broome into the fabulous destination it is today! Then we went to Willie Creek Pearls and saw pearls being born! They got a surprise when I popped out too And did I show you what I did with the crocodile?? He sure came off second best!! On the way home we saw people sitting on camels looking very uncomfortable, but I would have like to try that! Then it was time to enjoy the sunset at Sunset Bar & Grill, Cable Beach there was live music too but you have to imagine that :) I hope you are enjoying my travels as much as I am Milo x MILO Australia & New Zealand See more

14.01.2022 Now this is just pure magic! Get goose bumps every time I watch it

14.01.2022 Night-time weddings seem to be my trend at the moment, 3 in a row that have gone into the night with picnics by candlelight. These warm evenings are perfect for such events!

13.01.2022 Just to let you all know - Milo, my cute little Steiff bear, has his own Facebook page now! Feel free to follow his adventures here - https://www.facebook.com/milo.steiff.7 . He is currently in Gracetown, next week in Margaret River and the following 3 weeks on an amazing adventure up north to Dirk Hartog Island, Exmouth, Karratha and Karijini Park!! Hoping all is well with everyone, xx Delwyn

13.01.2022 Wishing you all an awesomely fabulous 2020! xx

13.01.2022 Getting married at the moment is turning into a real challenge for so many couples! For starters, how do you book a venue when you cant be sure about dates? The biggest question, "when will your family and friends from out-of-state or overseas be able to come to Western Australia to celebrate with you?" For so many couples it's just getting - 'too hard and stressful' and eloping is the perfect solution. I have had several couples marry on my terrace in the last few weeks and ...all enjoyed a wonderfully romantic and very personal ceremony. They will let their family and friends know when they are ready to tell them and in the meantime they are just enjoying 'being married' in a very private way. One couple who completed their NOIM in May for a wedding in December suddenly called me at 4.30pm one afternoon a few weeks ago and said, "can we get married tonight?" Of course! Once you have given your one-month's notice you can get married any time you like before the 18 month validity expires. I love spontaneity and that evening we even had a bowl of homemade soup together after the ceremony! I have a wonderful job and if I can make this very special moment even more special for my couples, I absolutely will. Please call me if you have any questions, I'd be delighted to answer them for you. See more

13.01.2022 Please stay safe all you gorgeous peeps xx

11.01.2022 More news from Milo's travels! On the return journey from Kukerin we traveled along the 'Tin Horse Highway' cover 15kms of road into Kulin. I was only allowed to stop for one photo because my driver was trying to get home before it rained! BUT how lucky am I??? I have just heard that I can travel to Broome in the morning with Aunty Judy! I only had an hour to get ready but I think I did a pretty good job - ticket, sunscreen and board-shorts which Delwyn whipped up quick smart for me :) It was very early in the morning when we arrived so I was delighted to be served a delicious breakfast The Pearl Cable Beach. Broome and then a swim in my new board-shorts! I cant wait to get out and see all the exciting attractions around Broome :) x

11.01.2022 Eva Blasbichler and René's wedding was truly beautiful in so many ways! The artistic flower arrangements were one of the absolute stars of the day from the stunning little buttonhole which Mirjam Hilgeman, A Bunch of Joy WA had very cleverly equipped with a magnet as well as a pin so it stayed on René's shirt perfectly for the whole day, to the incredible arbor flowers which looked so perfect on Charmaine's driftwood arbor Ferguson Valley Events . Mirjam, this was one of your most amazing creations yet! I am so happy to be able to work with such incredible suppliers like you.

11.01.2022 Another dose of love and best wishes for everyone. Hope you are all keeping safe and well and if you think I can help in any way please just call me BIG HUG Delwyn x

10.01.2022 Two gorgeous 'Rare & Rattlin Birds' who made me laugh - a lot - today! Thanks so much Mel & Marylou for asking me to be a part of your big day xx

10.01.2022 Those first anniversaries - so special! Congratulations Georgina and Peter! xx

10.01.2022 Magical elopements - something very, very special!

10.01.2022 @thecelebrantdirectory has just posted my latest blog featuring some of Perth's best and very talented photographers. It's always great working with you and thanks for your support :) Lovebird Ceremonies Marriage Celebrant - Delwyn

08.01.2022 I just love, love this photo of this absolutely gorgeous family! It was a fabulous little Pop-Up ceremony because Kelly didnt want to make more than one phone call! She called me and the rest happened by magic :) Bronwen (Beauty by Bronwen) turned up for her hair & makeup, Mirjam (A Bunch of Joy WA ) made her a very special and symbolic bouquet, the park she wanted was booked, I did some decoration and Jacqueline (Jacqueline Jane, Photographer ) arrived to take some wonderful photos. It was all a great bit of fun and the 3 boys were also included in the proceedings with a handfasting ceremony. At last they all share the same name. And on top of all that they were super lucky it all happen before the lockdown! Thank you Kelly so much for entrusting me with your very special day.

07.01.2022 The moon in my garden last night! 5 seconds between each photo, that's iPhone for you!

07.01.2022 To all my German couples, please help those who have not been able to join their partners here in Australia because the visa process is so slow, by signing this petition. Thanks :)

07.01.2022 At last! I have been locked out of my account for a couple of weeks and can now past again! ...I hope :) Just over a week ago I was asked to conduct the funeral of a friend who had taken her own life. It was the most difficult ceremony I have ever been asked to take. None of us should ever need to do this. Are you ok? Never stop asking and never stop listening

07.01.2022 The day before I left on my magical trip up north I had the incredible pleasure of marrying two wonderful couples. Both elopements but totally different. Both planned to have max 6 friends - but... one stayed that way and the other developed into a crowd of 30! That's the way of elopements, always a lovely surprise on the day. Thank you Gerri & Steve and Ayaka & Lindsay.

06.01.2022 When two families are blending it just makes the marriage that much more special. Alishia sent me these gorgeous photos and included the two new happy brothers. Thanks Alishia, a lovely reminder of a truly special day! xxx D

05.01.2022 Once in a while you get to see something so exquisitely beautiful it makes your heart stop, start to sing and feel like it's going to burst for pure enjoyment. For me itt was this stunning bouquet by Tali @soleintent. A few amazing Perth wedding suppliers have decided to offer a unique romantic wedding experience in Venice next year and this was a part of our photo shoot! Watch this space for more exciting details. Thanks to the awesome 'Venice' stars - Tali Sole Intent (sensational flowers), Bronwen Beauty by Bronwen (stunning Hair and Makeup), Jacqui Jacqueline Jane, Photographer (fabulous photos), the gorgeous couple celebrating their first anniversary ;) Lucinda Grech Kristjan Ilves and MOI!! I am so excited to be a part of this team

04.01.2022 There is something very special about a jeans jacket worn over a stunning wedding dress! Eva and René eloped on Shelly Beach, in my opinion one of the prettiest beaches on Cape Naturaliste. They arrived home in Germany this week to inform family and friends and were delighted that everyone was so happy for them! Congratulations again Eva & René and thank you so much for entrusting me with your special day. Liebste Gruesse immer, Delwyn xx

03.01.2022 Hi, I'm a special little Bear from Germany, a Steiff Bear, one of the most famous bear families in the world. I came to Australia a few months ago as a gift from a lovely couple (thank you Isabelle Storb) who were married here in Western Australia. I have just decided I will start travelling around WA with my carer Delwyn Klevenow and other travelling folk, while the rest of you outside our beautiful State cant travel. I hope you get some enjoyment from my wanderings. I have ...been named Milo after a very delicious Australian chocolate drink - it's sweet just like me :) Last week I was presented with my first fabulous jumper, very kindly knitted by 'Aunty Jenny' as my first trip was to Kukerin in the West Australian Wheatbelt. It was supposed to be very cold there, and it was, but we had fabulous weather as you will see over the next few days. On my way to Kukerin ( Mary's Farm Cottages - fantastic accommodation BTW) I had a go at driving the 1925 Silver ghost - I was just a bit too small to be good at it though... I did buy a fabulously delicious loaf of bread at the Riverside Roadhouse in Bannister which we all totally enjoyed. More tomorrow :) See more

03.01.2022 In February this year I had the incredible pleasure of being Jess and Sebs celebrant. They had come to Perth so Jess could attend Uni in Joondalup for a year. What an amazing couple and Jess truly impressed me with her - Just do it - attitude. She arrived here a couple of months before Seb so it was up to her to find accommodation and buy a campervan, etc etc. Not a problem for Jess! Where's the problem, any problem at all, she will sort it! The wedding took place on beautifu...l Whitford Beach, Mullaloo, with just the minimum attendance. No one at home knew they were going to celebrate their wedding here in Perth so it was kept a secret until they arrived home last week. To say it was a surprise for the families is a great understatement but Jess assures me they have now recovered and are enjoying the great photos and memories that Shadi Noertemann captured. The very cute little $5 bouquet, displayed by Shadi, was created by the bride herself - she has endless talents and is very resourceful! Jess, as you can see, your lovely gift is doing really well and thank you again. Alle liebste Gruesse fuer eure gemeinsame Zukunft in DE und hoffentlich koennt ihr nochmal nach Australien kommen um eure Honeymoon richtig zuerleben und geniessen, ohne Covid! Delwyn xx See more

01.01.2022 A magical moment as Jutta and Malte emotionally watch the surprise video their family and friends sent. Wow Trenna Thomson, this photo really tells a fabulous story! Absolutely amazing grilled prawns, bubbles, followed by fish & chips and pavlova, The Vintage Parlour all gifted to Jutta and Malte by their family and friends who could not make it to the wedding. We were all weeping! You were aces again Trenna ! Love working with you BTW Stunning bouquet by A Bunch of Joy WA - Mirjam, Jutta was overwhelmed how beautiful it was, you are so talented! x And beautiful hair and makeup again from the incredible Bronwen Ellis!!! xx

01.01.2022 More news from Milo :) my next travels took me to Dumbleyung where Donald Campbell set a new world water speed record in his 'Blue Bird'! An interesting looking 'boat'! But, the sky and reflections on the lake were even more fascinating! Then I met a Yabby for the first time, it was a bit scary as he was even bigger than me!! But he tasted amazing We ate in Cambinata Yabbies Woolshed - that was delicious and I found a buddy there in Mary's tin can collection - can you find... me? Oh, I nearly forgot! In the afternoon we went to see a car collection and my carer took a photo of me with a very old Golden Fleece petrol browser, without putting on her glasses... so you see me in the middle of a somersault! How embarrassing... The lovely couple who owned the 'car property' lived in this beautiful heritage homestead and served us the most delicious sponge cake! More news tomorrow :) Milo x See more
