We have stayed at Lovedale Cottages on two occasions the most recent being 15th & 16th January 2020. Lovedale cottages are set against bush land on a large open section. The cottages are spaced far enough apart so that you arent disturbed by your neighbours. There is a golf course and swimming pool for guests to use. The cottages ooze rustic charm and are large and comfortable. Two couples stayed in our cottage over two days and we each had our own modern en-suite attached to large bedrooms with comfortable beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you need to cook your own meals and each cottage comes with eggs, bacon and fresh bread supplied. There is also a BBQ available in each cottage. Our cottage had a large back deck area where you can sit and relax and enjoy the tranquillity. The owners Paul & Rosie are great hosts and we found them extremely easy to deal with. The booking process and check in was seamless. We absolutely loved it here and in my opinion it is the one of the best accommodation options in the Hunter Valley.

04.01.2022 Reviewed by Tourist725426 12 Apr 2020 Brilliant property... My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous 3 nights in the 1 bed cottage at Lovedale Cottages and couldnt have been happier. The rustic cabin feels welcoming and real- the illuminated colour from the stained glass windows, timber floor boards, 4 poster bed and deck looking out at the Australian bushland and starlit sky suited our sensibilities far beyond the air locked modern accomodations more common to the Hunter. This place offers a peaceful connection to the land (a fly swatted probably wouldnt go astray if spending a great deal of time on the deck as we did). Rosie and Paul are wonderful. They invited us into their home, were there whenever we needed and gifted us a bottle of vino for my husbands Birthday. The cottage also comes with eggs, bread, bacon and juice so theres no need to hurry out of bed or bring any shopping... unless you choose to have most of your meals in the cabin as we did... pick up something from Cessnock on the way through and you wont need to leave again! Although we mostly avoided the vineyards due to the early days of Covid - we were able to walk through the grapes vines and olive groves from our cottage, grab a bottle of vino and olive oil from the cellar door whilst relishing the space and tranquility that the property offers. Completely isolated from the world and the other guests (we only had glimpses of other people on 2 occasions) we felt like wed stepped into our own private adult playground of putt putt golf, tennis and heated indoor swimming pool. Although the golf is a little run down as mentioned in another review, you have to remember that this is the bush (!) and the cracks and sun faded astro-grass all add to the fun of the experience and the challenge of the putt putt competition. We didnt even get time to enjoy a spa bath or watch any of the awesome old school DVDs (theres also Foxtel). We absolutely loved our time here, we laughed the whole time and will definitely be back to enjoy a dusk vino on the deck with Rosie and Paul, the bird song and old school rustic tranquility of Lovedale Cottages
