Here's a simple set-up to support Mr. X's (2.5 y.o.) interest in the enveloping schema play using various containers and loose parts. 13.01.2022 Our first project for this year - the Ocean Life. I had set up this print-rich, small world play for this project to fully engage the children in constructing their own learning. My emergent curriculum supports the Project Approach by ensuring that the program being offered to the children mostly come from their interests. Through the process of allowing the children to problem-solve, ask questions and investigate to find the answers, the children are able to make meaning of ...their world in the most purposeful way while empowering them by being in charge of their own learning. My role is to be an intentional educator to facilitate their learning and to sustain shared-thinking.
