24.01.2022 We were very lucky to have two amazing portraits on our first day back in the studio yesterday before the lock down! Thank you to all of our beautiful families that have rescheduled their photo shoots today... Fingers crossed to see you all next week instead. Stay safe out there Brisbane! Here is a sneak peek for Mel and Gus with their gorgeous Zoe... It was wonderful to capture your wedding photos at the end of 2019 before the fires and covid, and just snuck this one in too. 12.01.2022 It's official: OUR STUDIO IS OPEN! We have been working hard behind the scenes for the last 6 weeks and we are excited to announce that our doors will reopen this weekend! Our May calendar is fully booked, however, we are now accepting bookings for June and July and would love to capture a beautiful portrait for your family! To celebrate our re-opening, we are giving away a $150 Gift Card* to every family that books a unique portrait experience with Hannah Photography in Jun...e or July 2020! We are of course practising extreme caution and our sterilising measures have been increased. We are confident this is a safe environment for you and your loved ones (pets included!) to visit and enjoy... *Conditions include: 1. Photo shoot must be booked with us before 31st May 2020 and $95 session fee paid. 2. Photo shoot can take place between 1st June and 31st July 2020. 3. 11.01.2022 Only four years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Jazmine for a family photo shoot including her four beautiful siblings... And now again, as a Mum herself! Thank you so much Jaz, Zach and Florence for such a gorgeous shoot - I know there are some very excited grandparents and aunts and uncles out there (big and small!) X

10.01.2022 2020 has been a wild ride and we are so grateful to all of our supporters for helping us along the way... We know it has been an incredibly tough and uncertain year for so many businesses and families and we hope that 2021 provides a more stable and prosperous outlook for everyone! The world has changed in many ways this year, with perspectives shifting and a real focus on the important things in life such as family and quality time with loved ones. HP had some highs and lows... like everyone else in 2020... With all weddings suspended and the studio needing to close for 2 months we were worried about what might happen next. However, it allowed us time to reflect, recharge and restructure so we emerged with even more enthusiasm and focus than ever before! During this time, Nic and I also managed to secure finances for a property that is not only a dream home for us, but the perfect location and layout for the studio to continue forever more! It really is a dream come true and I still can't quite believe we made it happen! We hit the ground running after our move to Camp Hill in October and it has been our busiest three months on record. It has been amazing, exhilarating and exhausting all at the same time! For the first time in 8 years, we have closed the studio for 2 weeks to enjoy some much needed R&R with family and hit the reset button for another big year ahead. We wish you a fun and relaxing finale to 2020 and a wonderful and less chaotic 2021. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us get through the year that was. Also, a special thank you to Olivia and Angela for being The Dream Team, and Nic for building the best studio in the whole wide world (in my humble opinion at least!). And Charlie and George for providing the kind of joy that only animals can bring to a workplace. Cheers everyone! We will be back in action on the 8th January 2021 and hope to see you all sometime soon! X

09.01.2022 A sneak peek from our very first wedding of the year in October... Such a strange feeling to have 10 months without even one wedding! But so impressed with Amy and James' positive attitude when they had to move their wedding date from July to October. And even then, Amy's brother and maid of honour (just to name a few...) were unable to attend due to the border closures. They had some incredibly beautiful videos created by guests all over the country and abroad that weren't able to attend in person. It was a very special and emotional day and I can't thank you enough Amy and James for including me in your celebrations!

06.01.2022 We are always so excited to show the finished product to our families after the portrait experience... However, we very rarely get the opportunity to see the photos up on the wall in a family home. Inspired by the wonderful Borton family who, unprompted, sent a beautiful photo of their canvas in pride of place in their entry, we requested (in last weeks Workshop Wednesday Blog) for other families to do the same. I wasn't quite prepared for how much joy this would bring us her...e in the studio!! To see a snapshot of our portraits in all kinds of homes, all over the world! 03.01.2022 Lucas was helping me with some test shots before we started the photo shoot with his baby brother and Mum and Dad... This was a spontaneous and unprompted little moment and made us all laugh out loud! I honestly just love when children are comfortable and confident to be themselves...you really never know what is going to happen next! This is exactly why we love working with children and animals!! (No offence grown ups and humans!)

03.01.2022 We snuck this little photo shoot in at the end of March before the lockdown restrictions came into full effect - and I'm so glad we did! Look at Alba's little foot sitting comfortably on Mum's shoulder! And the connection in their eyes....Captures that indescribable Mother/Daughter bond pretty well, I think! X

02.01.2022 Remember this fun photo of the Lambert family? The look of joy on all of their faces is why it's still one of my all time favourites! Seven years on, Michelle and Simon are still able to piggy back Molly and Griffin - however, the "upside down" shot was a bit too difficult to recreate! It was incredible to see your beautiful family again, Lamberts and great to meet the newest furry family member, Amber! X

02.01.2022 So, here it is. The final day of photo shoots in our Annerley Studio - "the shed" - a three year journey that has been a wild ride to say the least. It was a gamble to move our business here, away from the busy visibility of our little shop on the corner in Norman Park where we had made our mark for 5 years. It wasn't an easy transition and we had to learn a few hard lessons along the way. But in the end, this amazing space has provided such a unique opportunity to grow our b...usiness and for us to really understand what is important and just how much we love creating photographs to our absolute core. With a lot of hard work, and with the support of the team, our families and the beautiful people that continue to follow us and trust us with capturing their stories, we have reached the end of this chapter on a high. A fully booked studio today: 4 family portraits in the studio for me, a wedding for Olivia and a milestone event at Victoria Park tonight for Angela. And Nic Turnbull putting the final touches on the Camp Hill studio, ready for our grand opening next week!
