18.01.2022 One of our favourite things to do is to partner with our clients and their sales team & see their home sell for the best possible price! We love meeting with our clients before the home goes on the market to provide some tips to get their house 'market ready' prior to us staging it. Here are our top tips: #1 - Remove dated curtains and drapes. Opt for a nice, neutral blind instead. This helps to open up the space and allow light to come in. It also makes your photos look so ...much better online! #2 - Give your house a fresh lick of paint. Not any paint though! You will want to select a very neutral paint colour. We always recommend selecting a crisp white. Stay away from your ivory and cream colours as this can throw a very strong 'yellow' to your images. A look that will very quickly date your home. We are big lovers of Dulux's White on White or Lexicon Quarter. Providing a neutral colour to the walls will freshen up the space, make it feel larger and will also provide a 'blank canvas' for the buyer to imagine their own decor and furnishings in. It also helps with staging, as we can provide a brand new look to the home. #3 - Declutter! We cannot express how important this is. Remove excess furnishings, towels in the linen cupboard, family photos on the walls etc. #4 - Get your home staged professionally.
