24.01.2022 It's not easy setting boundaries especially when you have strong patterns of not wanting to be the cause of peoples upset. Life presents all kinds of situations and dynamics and some of those will require you to set boundaries. Those boundaries signify to you that you've got your own back and this builds trust. A couple of years ago I went through this process fully and to say it was hard would be putting it mildly. ... It went against all my patterns of wanting to keep the peace and not be the cause of someone else's upset. So was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! Backing your own needs is what's required to feel safe in the world and I'm forever grateful that my friend stood by me as I created those boundaries which ultimately allowed our friendship to survive and thrive

My heart is with you and your families as you navigate your way through the coming months. It is unseen times for all of us and I urge you, if your income is stable, don’t cancel your yoga memberships and find ways to purchase from small businesses. Continued support will keep these businesses afloat. With so much uncertainty, our internal responses might be to w...ant to bunker down and horde, however if we don’t adopt a community mindset through these challenging times, the very business who we loved interacting with before this happened, won’t be there after it’s all done and dusted. 23.01.2022 So if you have been watching my stories, you would have seen a huge stash of 30 eggs that we found in the old stables. They decided that's where they wanted to lay! Our rescue chickens came to us @heartspaceretreat in pretty poor condition being at the bottom of the pecking order and now look super happy and healthy. If you are wanting to integrate having chickens into your lifestyle, contact your favourite egg company and see if they have any older layers that need re-homing. 17.01.2022 Even with everything going on right now my heart is full My morning yoga session was interrupted by the most beautiful phone call from @ronni.kahn from @ozharvest with a deeply heartfelt thank you for our recent donation. Thanks to so many of YOU purchasing our Activated Buckwheat packet mixes (where 50c from the sale of each mix goes to OzHarvest) we have now assisted @ozharvest in making nearly 3500 meals available to vulnerable Australians. Friends, that’s amazing! 15.01.2022 My work as a gluten free wholefood chef has been transient from the start. Travelling around the country sharing beautiful food to beautiful people was just part of the job. Having a family certainly made me have a look as to whether I wanted to be away from my family every weekend (note: yes I do like a break from the farmhouse sometimes )... Our intention was to keep the family united even while I was nourishing so many and thus @heartspaceretreat was born. So you can imagine that we’re a bit chuffed to have been added to a retreat bucket list. Life @heartspaceretreat has been filled with looking after our new 27 rescue chickens, navigating a COVID life and of course building our new yoga room. When committing to our visions it's both exhilarating and terrifying. The joy of seeing our dreams move into the physical and the concerns of not meeting deadlines with constant material delays. This reminder ri...nging in my ears it's not what happens but rather how you respond to it Here we are with 5 weeks to go until our first retreat back, our beautiful new yoga room with frames nearing completion. Somehow we will make it. I'm grateful to all the hands and hearts who continue to support our dreams. I'll continue to share its development in my stories. 12.01.2022 These times are forcing a new level of creativity that’s for sure. While discussing with @jeremy_matthew_walker that I wanted to do some painting with Noa, I realised the kitchen pantry has plenty to offer. Today I’ve used Matcha for green, beetroot juice for pink, and turmeric for yellow. A little bit of water added to the turmeric and matcha but no water needed with the beetroot juice. Best part is if she licks the paint, it will make her mumma very happy Note: your kid is going to make a fabulous mess obviously so do this one outside where you can can easily clean off turmeric. #creativeisolationtips #naturalartist

Women who I confide in, hold, share, hold space for, love, be witnessed, witness, uplift and be uplifted by. One of my many resolutions for 2020 was to create a women’s circle @heartspaceretreat. And I’m so thrilled to be creating with the gorgeous @shantiyogini a new moon women’s circle with the first o...ne happening THIS Wednesday 26th from 7.30pm. 03.01.2022 The sweetest moments of stillness and connection when they wake. Grateful for every second

03.01.2022 We've outsourced one job in the build of this new yoga space @heartspaceretreat. We brought in a team of professionals to do the plastering and boy am I grateful we did! This is absolutely taking something to complete and everyone's tired. Our first retreat back is with the gorgeous crew @lifeyogagoulburn in less than two weeks and there's still plenty to do. In that time we'll be painting (using a super low VOC paint), architraves, flooring, adding stairs and tidying up the ...site. It's been such a cool journey for me learning an area which has previously been completely foreign to me. So much gratitude to @bmwillrath and Breezy for lending your brains, hands and hearts to this whole project (words cannot express how grateful we are) and everyone else who has and who will be adding their physical and emotional love to this project. You are legends. Taking on projects and setting unmovable due dates to them adds pressure and obstacles WILL come up that make you question everything but honestly seeing it all come together is pure magic for the soul. I can't WAIT to share this yoga studio with you all See more

01.01.2022 It's with mixed emotions we welcome our 18 new rescue chickens here to @heartspaceretreat When living on land, you really see life... and also death. A couple of weeks ago a fox got into the chicken coup and we lost 24 of our beautiful chickens. It was heartbreaking for all of us.... as it should be. ... Death is something I've been trained to avoid in my life and there is no option right now but to face it wholeheartedly. We honoured each chicken as we buried them, thanking it for its life and service and also for its continued service as it now begins to breaks down and fully integrate and nourish the earth beneath it. In life and death, the cycle continues. We did have one survivor! Big red is now her name. She outsmarted the fox on so many occasions, she is now a local hero (I just wish she'd stop digging up my gardens). Funny thing was, when we received our new chickens on Monday, they are a completely different breed and colour (they are Bond chickens) meaning big red will stand out and continue to be honoured for her smarts.
