25.01.2022 Feeding 3 day old little orphan Arnie...Mum died last night...

22.01.2022 Hello again everyone. Arnie the baby goat here! I'm 16 days old now and doing well! I'm really good at making a lot of noise when I'm hungry..Muuuum! Guess wha...t? It works! She comes running with a lovely warm bottle of milk for me! Afterwards I stop for a play with the big fluffy white dog who watches over all of us, then back in the paddock to play with all my new friends! Our nearest town is 22 kms away (Gin Gin Qld), so far enough out from built up areas to enjoy the quiet bush life, but close enough for services. We are listed with Air BnB, so all bookings are done through this site, but just increasing our profile a bit. We are classed as Super Hosts with 5 Star ratings, so very proud of that rating ...and aim to keep it! To start our new page I'm sharing a blog on an Orphan baby goat called "Arnie", short for Arnold both after Arnold the pig from the TV series Greenacres, as well as a play on the movie "Little Orphan Annie", but since it is a boy goat, we have "Little Orphan Arnie"! Always a story to tell about the animals on our 100 acre property, both domesticated and wild. See more

I'm now 10 days old and love my adoptive Mumma..Some of the other goats watch over me too and of course Fay ...Maremma takes special care of me.This is me trying to impersonate a zebra, have just finished my morning bottle of warm milk..better go now as some sweet potato has just been put out and I don't want to miss out on a little nibble! 15.01.2022 Good morning everyone. Arnie the orphan goat here. Today I am 3 weeks old and have been getting lots of cuddles and attention the last few days.First of all fro...m the Turner family, now with my Chinese visitors. They are from a very big city called Tianjin near Beijng. With permission from her Mum this is a photo of me getting my bottle from Mia who is 5..It was so yum I had a second one! Mia and her family have said that of all the places they have stayed in Australia this has been the best! And they've stayed in the Daintree and Airlie Beach! Tucking into their own brekky now of good old home grown eggs with bacon and homemade Rosella Jam. ! See more

14.01.2022 We have another newby this morning to add to our flock..very cute dark caramel with white flash on her forehead, white tip on the tail and 3 white socks..one di...sappeared during the cooking process! Very privileged to also share her birthday with our amazing funny and beautiful eldest daughter Amanda Meola! See more

08.01.2022 New life here at Greenacres today..Pigeon the arucana chook we inherited from the Wheatley boys, has been patiently sitting on two eggs..one has hatched..not sure if the other will. We also we have a new baby goat....a boy!....mothers and babies doing well..

07.01.2022 Two more babies today..boy and a girl..Little Miss Spider legs lost her baby last year, prem birth.. but she has a very cute little girl and taken to her straight away!

07.01.2022 New life here again this morning..a little girl..some excited grandchildren seeing a freshly born baby goat..been named Brenda..after Greg's brother Brenton whose birthday it is today..

06.01.2022 A new day and two more newborns..Diamond and Pearl Dorper are first time Mums! Diamond's baby girl is as white as she is black, and Pearls boy is huge! Now we know why she looked like a wine barrel on legs!
