I feel very blessed to have such a big space to work in when my 2 and 4 leggeds come in for their family portraits. It's full of natural light and a totally chilled out space to capture relaxed images of all y'all snuggling and being cute! Fun Fact! 20.01.2022 I've been nominated by Katy and Shell from @dogfolk Melbourne to participate in the #pawstogetherproject and share photo of myself with a caption explaining how #covid19 has affected my life and my business, as a way of supporting #smallbusiness and each other. So here goes.... The truth is, I've been massively affected. Like, 100%. I've had to temporarily relocate homes, I've left my wonderful co-work community behind for now and after years of work, I have created the bes...t job ever that I'm not actually allowed to do at the moment. I've been very quiet on socials you may have noticed. I haven't really known how to deal with it on a personal level as it breaks my heart that it's come screeching to such a sudden halt. Love Tails is usually very loud and full of joyful barking and laughter and it's very quiet now. From the excitement of the first time we chat about you coming in - will it be a park shoot or a studio? How will we style it? Will your pup be a maniac or an angel? WHO KNOWS! Then there is shoot day, getting the 'WOOF!" confirmation text, seeing the outfit you chose, hanging out and chatting as the pup relaxes, getting to know you as we work through the madness of a shoot and those beautiful squee moments when we absolutely nail a shot that's definitely going be 'a framer'. I miss it all! My work is classified non-essential and sure, and whilst we don't need family portraits to survive, we do need love and each other. Everything the Love Tails heart beats for (and tail wags for) is exactly that, wrapped up in a squishy photo session, printed, framed and wrapped up in a bow to live on your wall and in your screens and hearts. It's the physical representation of everything we hold close. So whilst I can't physically hold you guys close at the moment, know that as soon as I can, I will be back in town celebrating you and the dogs that have kept you sane in this strange time. xo Cristal

With the curve flattening, laws regarding moving around within 50kms of your home including a widening of the range of businesses you're allowed to visit is relaxing in Queensland and WA. Hopefully this means NSW is next and the studio can open again. As the Love Tails studio is quite big (and gorgeous) I will definitely be able to welcome you back in whilst maintaining safe social distancing. Julia brought in her beautiful Italian Greyhounds to the studio who are basically works of art. The colours and tones in this room as well as the infinity frame (photo to edge) are a gorgeous compliment to the grains in the wood and fabric of the bed and wall colour. The portrait itself with the two dogs facing each other creates a peak and has balance. ... Stunning! Pet photography doesnt have to be cheesy.

Whilst restrictions are still place they are starting to ease and we will soon see a return to being able to spend time with our families that we've missed so much so long as we maintain our safe practices. We have missed no one more than our Mums and grandmas, and as much as we'd love to take go out for a nice lunch or big gathering for dinner for Mothers Day on May 10th, it might be a while still before that's given the green light.
