12.01.2022 This is a testimonial from a friend Anxiety and my life long struggle.. When the pink drink came into my life, I honestly didn’t expect it to change my life!!... I used to avoid shopping centres like the plague.. I would keep my head down and hide under my hat and hope that no one would recognise me and want to have a chat.. if I did see someone I’d make an excuse and tell them I had to be somewhere.. it was awful.. I feel uncomfortable just thinking about it.. My absolute worst anxiety attack and I’ve had quite a few, was when I literally could not get on a plane to return home from New Zealand.. Standing in the food court at the airport I grabbed my husbands hand, my feet cemented to the floor and said I can’t do it babe, I just can’t!! I’m not afraid of flying, flown heaps!! It just that this particular moment my anxiety completely floored me!! That was it, the day after I arrived home I went to the Doctors, and let me tell you I almost didn’t make it.. I almost turned around and went straight back home.. I walked into the waiting area with tears streaming down my face and sat there waiting, the tears just flowing.. I completely broke down sobbing once I made it to my Doctors office. He had never seen me down or sad even at my sickest, he couldn’t write me up an anxiety script quick enough.. This is what I was left with.. this is when it got worse, absolute bloody hell.. those meds I was put on made me dizzy and nauseous, I had to take time off work to get used to them and that’s when my soul died. Once a person who was high on life as much as I could be with this dreaded anxiety, I loved decorating my home and keeping it neat.. playing with the kids and being silly. Laughing as loud as possible, you know, big belly laughs That person was gone.. the meds killed her.. Then one day I decided I’d rather be stricken with anxiety than be dead inside. So I went cold turkey.. that was when hell tripled for me!! I’ve never gone through anything as horrific as the withdrawal effects I got from stopping that medication.. Brain zaps!! I kid you not!
