25.01.2022 Summer over 35's hockey is starting this Wednesday from 6pm for the next 7 weeks. New players will need to register via the LGSHA website and select: Registration type: LGSHA - Summer Hockey Registration Senior (19 and over) - $17 Payment for insurance of $17 will be taken via the website at this point. Any players that have already played hockey in 2020 will be covered for insurance and won't need to pay insurance again. There will be a small fee to cover turf hire costs etc - this is still being calculated. Any further information can be directed to Damien Stevens on 0418 911 500.

24.01.2022 The Junior Umpire roster has been emailed to those on the Junior Panel and those seniors who put their hands up to help. Please check if you have been allocated a game and make sure the time and day suits. A reminder to all that these umpires are volunteers who will be doing their very best. Accept their decisions with grace and good sportsmanship.

23.01.2022 Men’s Div finished 2nd in their pool and will now play a crossover at PHS 1 vs Bunbury at 6:30pm if anyone is in Perth and wanting to head down and watch!

20.01.2022 REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW DUE FOR SUMMER COMPETITIONS. Each player of the Summer 7 Comps (Both under and over 35's) must register through the LGSHA website. You need to register as either a Junior or Senior player. As it is now a new calendar year, everyone MUST re-register for this summer comp. Even if the players are not playing a winter season, they still need to register for this years summer comp.

16.01.2022 Good luck to all players, coaches and managers representing LGSHA at the CBH Country Champs this weekend. Wear the green and gold with pride. Also a shout out to any umpires being assessed for their Level 1 qualifications.

15.01.2022 Players are urgently needed for CBH Country Champs Div 2 Mens this weekend in Perth. If you are able to play contact Dinah on 0429 130 953 or email [email protected] . Unfortunately some players have injuries or withdrawn and our second side is in desperate need of a couple more players.

15.01.2022 Update on day 2..... Women’s Div 1 had a loss to UGSHA 2 - 1 with a last minute goal scored by Courtney Robinson. Men’s Div 2 drew with Esperance....... Men’s Div 1 coming away with a victory over UGSHA 1 - 0 in a very very hard game. Goal scored by Darren Parkes off a penalty corner.

14.01.2022 LGSHA will hold an AGM on Monday 23rd November from 6.30pm at the Albany clubrooms. All members welcome. 13.01.2022 2020 CBH Country Championships Final Wrap up Women’s Div 1 Finished 3rd Congratulations to the ladies selected in the All Stars... Annie Judd, Courtney Robinson, Beck Gallimore, Georgina Lilford and Bonnie Crook. Men’s Div 1 Finished 4th Congratulations to the men selected in the All Stars Darren Parkes, Pieter Coetzee, Heath Cremasco and Leander McQuade. Massive congrats to Darren who was named F and B for Div 1. Men’s Div 2 Finished 4th Well done to all our players who represented our association. We are very proud of you.

13.01.2022 Three very important awards were handed out on Friday night that the LGSHA has put in place to encourage junior players to contribute to local hockey. All three awards drew multiple nominations but we are pleased to announce the following deserving recipients: Junior Female Volunteer of the Year: TULLY JOY Junior Male Volunteer of the Year: HAYDEN MILLS The Doug Coles Memorial Junior Umpire of the Year Award: CHARLOTTE EDWARDS. Also, our Development Officer would like to say a big "Thank you" to Leah, Jack, Hayden and Archer for coaching the new Goldstix program over the 6 week duration. They have inspired a whole new generation of future hockey players.

02.01.2022 2020 Grand Final Schedule The LGSHA Committee wishes to remind our members to abide by the 45 person limit capacity inside our main clubroom due to the COVID-19 2 sqm rule. Given the predicted weather forecast, we have taken extra measures to ensure there is additional under covered (outdoor) space to watch and enjoy the hockey. Full bar and canteen will be available. Thanks to all clubs for providing assistance. ... Please also ensure you stay within the designated drinking areas if you are consuming alcoholic beverages.
