19.01.2022 Looking forward to happy and healthier BBQs this summer? Look no further than lentils. Research is finding that healthy eating leads to better mental health so why not get creative at the BBQ and make half the burgers lentil based. Lentils keep you fuller for longer, are a plant-based source of protein and a fantastic alternative to meat and are super easy to cook.... Ready to give lentils a go? Visit www.cookwelleatwell.org.au for more videos and recipes. #cookwelleatwell

15.01.2022 How do we 'Grow well Dindi'? We can walk, ride, scoot or skate into term 4! New findings from a VicHealth survey show more than 1 in 4 Victorian households with kids have been doing more walking or bike riding during the pandemic than they did in January and February this year! Walking, riding, scooting and skating to school has enormous benefits for kids’ physical and mental health. Term 4 is a great time to continue the healthy habits of walking or riding as we... move into COVID normal. Let’s keep our kids healthy, happy and focused, by encouraging walking or riding to school together most days of the week. Visit https://www.walktoschool.vic.gov.au/ for games and Strava challenges to play on the way. Walk to School

08.01.2022 This week is Gambling Harm Awareness Week in Victoria (19-25 October). Tuesday 20th @1.30pm a session for community and professionals will provide a greater understanding of how gambling impacts individuals, families and communities. Harm from gambling isn’t just about losing money. Gambling can affect how you feel. It can also affect your self-esteem, relationships, physical and mental health. It doesn’t matter how often or much a person gambles, the negative effects of gam...bling can happen to anyone. According to research, 630,000 Victorian adults are affected by gambling harm, either their own or from someone else’s gambling. Gambling harm is often hidden, and the effects not spoken about because it can be a sensitive issue that makes people feel uneasy. UCAN Project
