21.01.2022 Sitting at your desk all day? It’s time to move.

21.01.2022 Yes, we are open

19.01.2022 Research tells us that sedentary work such as sitting behind a desk for long hours can lead to many health and musculoskeletal issues. It is important to take regular breaks from sitting to stretch and move. Here is a simple, short stretching routine, demonstrated by one of our osteopaths, Monique Finnigan, that you can do each day at work. Remember to hold each stretch for about 20 seconds each side and repeat the routine a couple of times per day. This routine should be suitable for most however if you have any underlying injuries or experience any pain when doing the routine, please consult with your osteopath for further advice before continuing.

14.01.2022 COVID 19 STAGE 4 RESTRICTION UPDATE Currently, Lower Plenty Osteopathy is open ONLY for the treatment of urgent and emergency cases in keeping with the DHHS guidelines for all Allied Health Clinics. Due to these restrictions, appointments can only be booked over the phone via triage with one of our osteopaths. Online bookings during this period will not be available. ... Those patients who meet the current DHHS criteria for a face to face consultation will then be required to satisfactorily complete a Covid Screening and an appointment will be scheduled. We are here to help. If you are unsure whether you would qualify for treatment during this time, please call the clinic or email us at [email protected] and one of our practitioners will contact you to assess your needs.

09.01.2022 It seems our website is currently out of action! If you would like to make an online booking you can do so via the link on our Facebook page or you can call the clinic direct on 94395596. So sorry for the inconvenience, we hope to have the problem fixed as soon as possible.

06.01.2022 There are a few common misconceptions about osteopathy. Let's clear them up together. Did you know that not all back pain requires a scan or MRI? Go to www.osteopathy.org.au/find-an-osteo to find a local osteopath

04.01.2022 We are very happy to announce that as of Monday 28th September the DHHS criteria for treatment will change slightly to allow face to face consultations for those who are in pain or have loss of function and that delay of treatment will result in deterioration. The "urgent" criteria will no longer apply. Appointments can be made online via our website at www.lowerplentyosteo.com.au or by calling the clinic on 9439 5596. For any appointments prior to 28th September, Stage 4 restriction criteria will apply.

03.01.2022 It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month (1-31 October)! Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer among Australian women (excluding non-melanoma ski...n cancer)? Survival rates have improved, with 89 of every 100 women diagnosed now surviving for 5 or more years beyond diagnosis... So, don't be shy about your breasts - be breast aware. - Check your breasts regularly for changes in how they look or feel - Keep up your mammogram appointments (approx every 2 years) - Ask your female relatives if there's a history of breast cancer in the family - Talk to your GP if you're worried or concerned about your breasts, as they are a great source of support.
