25.01.2022 Lauren grew up riding at LPPC - look at her now! Congratulations Lauren (A lesson for all of our riders, keep going, the hard work pays off! ) From Lauren;... And just like that...8 years of early mornings, late nights, riding in the wind and rain, set backs, a lot of tears and frustration suddenly becomes worth it when you get to ride your first PSG test and finish on 65.8% on a horse you have trained from the beginning Thank you to everyone who has helped Dreamy and me on our journey from a young horse to where we are today @adam.riess.dressage @mclean_sport_horses and most recently @davidshoobridge for pushing me so far out of my comfort zone and taking me to the next level. @stewart.kerry @jls039 @timmy_t_23 @evertonstud

17.01.2022 A fun lockdown initiative from our Junior Committee, we are playing WHO AM I? while learning about our club horses over on our members page. Each Wednesday and Sunday a new riddle is posted as we guess who it is! This was tonight’s WHO AM I?; ... ‘Royalty by name, LPPC royalty by nature. This guy is one of the longest standing LPPC horses and was long term boyfriend of an LPPC legend’ Answer - PRINCE! Bred in a backyard in Taylor’s Lakes, its unknown what breed he is. Aliy found him at the Kyneton Sale yards but he got passed in at Auction. Dad Manikas slipped the owner his number and they called a week later to say come get him. He’s been in the Manikas family since 2003 starting as Aliys pony club horse as she grew up. He is now 23yrs old and enjoying retired life. He’s a reliable type, robust and always has a good sized belly. He was a loyal and long time boyfriend of the late LPPC legend Genie.

06.01.2022 12 months ago, Lower Plenty Pony Club were forced to relocate and set up our grounds from scratch. Over the past year, our saved funds and man power have gone into ensuring our paddocks are safe and we have basic horse care facilities. Our horses are now safe and live a wonderful life in gorgeous paddocks but we have no safe riding area. We desperately need a safe riding area for our members. Please support our club in its new start at these grounds so that it can continue... to grow and carry on its 60+ year history. BIG RAFFLE!!! Only 100 tickets available good odds of winning! $20 per ticket purchase here: https://www.trybooking.com/BLJVN WINNER - $500 Visa/Mastercard PLUS Taylor Made Gourmet Grazing Box (value $150) PLUS LPPC hoodie. Winner drawn Oct 4th at 7pm LIVE LPPC Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lowerplentyponyclub Thank you very much for your support we appreciate this is an incredibly difficult time to be fundraising, however, the circumstances we are in, we feel that we must soldier on and try to get our club a safe area to ride. We are hoping there might still be part of the community that are in a position to support us by buying a ticket and trying their luck at a great prize. Stay safe and thank you again.
