25.01.2022 LID’s principal, Craig Harris, presented at the annual Liveable Cities Conference in Adelaide, South Australia. The two-day program focused on how to best deliver vibrant, inclusive and well appointed cities and towns. Craig provided an overview of simple recommendations, that should be included at each stage of new suburb design and development, to address the significant shortfalls when integrating sustainability and liveability goals for new greenfield housing estate devel...opments. The knowledge and technology to deliver new sustainable suburbs are available, but we’re not taking opportunities to do this. In fact, we're causing new problems for future generations. These houses will exist for over 40 years and the form of these estates will exist for over 100 years so we should make the effort to get it right! Want a more in-depth look? 19.01.2022 That's a wrap! Just last month, two of our Sustainability Consultants, Fiona and Vickie, celebrated the completion of one phenomenal year with @brimbank. After Brimbank implemented a new #ESD Clause (Clause 22.2) into their planning scheme, Fiona and Vickie were engaged in the on-site Brimbank's ESD Officer role to provide #sustainability advice and assess development applications, assisting Council with this period of transition. We appreciate Brimbank City Council for thi...s opportunity. We met many Council planners and saw the developers ESD applications from the other side of the fence. The knowledge and relationships that our consultants have gained from this experience has been fantastic.
