20.01.2022 Tech Tip Tuesday Did you know our Insulated End Strainer has an integrated joint clamp? Last week, we hosted Deer Industry NZ here for a workshop and took them ...for a tour of our factory. One of the Deer Farmers was raving about our Insulated End Strainers and was surprised to learn they are made here in Hamilton, but to our surprise he didnt realise the bolt on the side is a joint clamp! Our Insulated End Strainer is unique in that it provides an all in one assembly, insulate, strain and connect your fence wires. The integrated joint clamp allows direct attachment of your power connection to the fence. For more information check out our website or contact your local Territory Manager: https://bit.ly/31ZdkdX

16.01.2022 Today 35 new Lowlines arrived from Warkworth , North of Auckland , to join our Lowland Park Lowlines herd. What a credit they are to the years of breeding and s...election by David and Christina Clee of Rancho Radiata Lowlines . They are docile , pleasant to handle and are in great condition considering they weaned their calves a week ago . With the addition of another 7 weaner heifers in the next few weeks from Araawa Stud in Canterbury , we will have 71 registered Lowline cattle and are expecting around 50 calves this year . The plan is to keep improving them using Ardrossan and McIntosh Creek Lowline AI semen from Australia . Thanks to all involved with this tremendous opportunity!

14.01.2022 The NILPG of New Zealand members had a day of learning, social interaction and then a group dinner yesterday on a cool , wet Taranaki day. The region had receiv...ed a welcome 64 mm of rain the previous night which continued on and off during our Field day. There were new faces amongst established members and a group of just over 20 people learned about correct structure and soundness of cattle, presented by Cedric Lander , a second generation breeder of Wairere Angus. We visited Triple M Lowline Stud, Kaitake Lowline stud and then Peak stud where we had plenty of opportunity to see good lowlines and enthusiastic passionate breeders. A group dinner was then enjoyed by all at a country Hotel at Okato where country sized portions of real food were enjoyed. The day came to an end all too quickly and everyone would have gone home with new ideas and appreciation for the perfect choice of beef cattle for all situations, Lowline! Thanks to all the hosts, member participants and guests for such a successful inaugural Lowline Field Day. This will now become an annual event, not to be missed .

12.01.2022 Australian Lowline Cattle in New Zealand LOWLINE PROMOTION GROUP-NORTH ISLAND, NEW ZEALAND Official Name: Australian Lowline Common Name: Lowline, often incorrectly called Lowline Angus or Angus Lowline. This stems back to their heritage where both Lowline and modern Angus have common beginnings, the Aberdeen Angus from Scotland. Both Australian Lowline and modern Angus have been selected very differently and are recognised internationally as seperate breeds. Lowlines a...re 100% Angus genetics with it being compulsory to DNA verify both parents to be able to Register Lowline cattle in the ALCA herd book. A Lowline is only a proven Lowline if it has a DNA test to verify that both its parents are Lowlines. Anyone purchasing Australian Lowline bulls are strongly advised to ask for the DNA result of parental verification to be certain they are obtaining a genuine Lowline bull. Lowline Cattle are a compact, well muscled , beef breed with a moderate stature. In New Zealand, these docile, naturally polled cattle thrive in a variety of environments. These include the commercial sector where purebreds and crossbreds are farmed producing high quality prime beef. Lowline bulls are used by the dairy sector as an easy calving sire, and Lowlines are seen on lifestyle blocks, providing grass control, aesthetics, companionship and home grown beef. Lowline Promotion Group-North Island, New Zealand is an initiative set up by the North Island Lowline Promotion Group. We are one of the Promotion Groups active across New Zealand and Australia, governed by ALCA (Australian Lowline Cattle Association). We keep sharing tips on this because it is critical, it's how the po...wer flows from the Energizer, to the fence, through the animal and back through the ground to Energizer. We recommend the 4-3-2-1 rule for earth stakes when installing permanent fencing: 4 metres between earth stakes 3 earth stakes minimum* 2 metres minimum length of earth stakes 1 wire connecting all earth stakes to Energizer earth terminal *As a rule of thumb, use at least 3 earth stakes or the Energizer Stored Joules rating divided by 5 Get in contact with your local Territory Manager if you have questions - we are here to help! https://bit.ly/NZTMTeam #GallagherNZ #TechTipTuesday #nzfarming #OrangeDNA

04.01.2022 We have submitted a Lowline bull to be considered to be part of the team of 26 bulls for this trial . While it is not likely the panel who select the bulls will accept our nomination , or breed , there is a chance they will. They are more likely looking for a mainstream breed with appropriate EBVs to back up what they find in reality throughout the trial with the beef calves . ... Some of the NILPG members felt that it was important Lowline was in the mix with their easy calving , fantastic easy rearing crossbred calves , and delicious beef . Wouldnt it be great for the breed if they did go out in a limb and try Lowline . They might just be surprised
