24.01.2022 From a Kindy Parent, Does your child have additional/ different needs, finding the right environment is hard. Hi I'm a parent who needed to find the right kindy for my beautiful daughter who requires additional needs and I found C&K kindy at Lowood to be an amazing journey for my daughter and my family. Lisa and the team here welcomed us with open arms and were always attentive to my daughters needs, nothing was to hard and my daughter was so happy being with Lisa and the te...am,which was always a great feeling for me knowing that her day was going to be positive. Over the two years of being apart of C&K Lowood Kindy my daughters development just flourished along with her words and confience and seeing her socialise with her peers and joining in with a typical kindy day was just so rewarding. I'm extremely greatful for the support Lisa and her team have given me personally but most of all I thank them for supporting my daughters higher needs and making her kindy years an amazing experience and supporting her to the best version of herself, I'm so greaful x Kylie Moore See more

21.01.2022 Today we had a big talk about 'Day for Daniel'. We had a big discussion about our own body and what are our private parts. We discussed who we could talk to and these people are our safe people - we should have 5 safe people (police, parents, grandparents, teachers - just to name a few). We also had a big discussion on what happened to Daniel Morcombe. How we should not take a ride with anyone that we don't know or that we have not been told about. We also discussed ho...w our body might feel - goosebumps, sick in the belly, wobbly legs, sweaty, tears, wetting ourselves, we need to listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us. This is quite big information for our little people and it can be quite scary and overwhelming, maybe even a little too much for them to even understand. However, it is important that we have these conversations with them. We are their advocates while they are so young and we must make them aware of these situations as well as teach them strategies to deal with different situations. See more
20.01.2022 Well that's a wrap of 2020. This week we enjoyed our Christmas break up party with farm yard animals, face painting, sausage sizzle and ice cream. We then had our Christmas concert and graduation ceremonies. It was such a magical week as it showed us what a great community we have at Lowood Kindy. We all wish you a Merry Christmas and hope that you have some great family time. We wish all our prep students all the best for 2021 and look forward to our returning students and new families for 2021. Love from Mrs Kennedy, Mrs Phipps, Mrs J and Mrs H xxxx
20.01.2022 Its Christmas at Lowood Kindy and we are having so much fun preparing for our christmas concert for our last day of term. Our tree's are up and we are singing to our christmas songs as we engage in writing santa letters, exploring christmas crafts and making special gifts for our families. What do you love about Christmas?
18.01.2022 Last week was NAIDOC week and we were busy little bees at Lowood Kindy. We have been renovating our yarning circle area with the support from a grant from Bendigo Bank. We have had a mural and totem pole painted by our Aboriginal Artist Alan Cole. Our Kindy children created some amazing artwork on some stepping stone pavers. We also made a traditional talking stick that we use in our yarning time dicussions. Thankyou to some lovely parents who put up our tyres and hung our s...igns for us. We had such a great week and have learnt so much about our Aboriginal culture. Always Was, Always Will Be.

09.01.2022 Today we celebarated the opening of our Yarning circle. Mark from Bendigo Bank did the honours of cutting the ribbon. We all enjoyed a tradtional dance performance by Yugera Dancers, which we all enjoyed very much. As our Yarning circle is a place were we gather and yarn we all enjoyed eating some bush tucker damer that we made earlier that morning while having a chat about what we liked and learnt about the mornings events. Thankyou to everyone who attended we had such a great morning celebrating our local culture. A special thankyou to Bendigo bank for your community grant and to Alan Cole our Aboriginal Educator and artist.

04.01.2022 This week Lowood Kindy went on an excursion to Haigslea EWE Nique Hobby Farm. We took along some parents and siblings too which was a great family morning out. Excursions play an imporant role within our program at Lowood Kindy. Learning to be outside of Kindy with your class is an important skill to learn. We all had such a great time.
