08.01.2022 Here is an offer someone can't refuse: 1 ton of Concrete wash sand purchased from Newton's. Loose and used on a clean theatre stage this week only. The catch is... that you need to come with a ute at 11:15pm (23:15) on Sunday 15 March to the Scott Theatre, University of Adelaide for it to be loaded into your vehicle. 07.01.2022 A thorough discussion of SA bin options. Although councils are required to offer a weekly landfill collection (3.10min) it doesn't mean you have to present your bin. Try waiting til it's full - and track how long that takes! Much less pollution from trucks stopping to empty a bin with one bag and if most things are in your organics or recycling bin- it might take you more than a month

03.01.2022 Some comprehensive work being done in this space. Pleased to see that the data is identified as relating to weight only! This is significant because while food scraps are weighty- they don't take up much space, so will be great to see final info includes volume too. Regardless, there is a lot of food organics going to landfill that could go in the green bin - an easy switch!

02.01.2022 This is a handy quiz- except Qu 11- in SA, we can put the 'empty and dry' black base in our recycling bins ( Eastern states with different sorting systems cannot). Also, SA recycles over 80% of materials ( punching slightly above national average!) :)

02.01.2022 Did you know that by 2020, sending organics to landfill will cost Councils 85% more than composting it? Here is a great news story and example of how a simple task of placing kitchen scraps in the green organics bin saves waste and money too! #Whywasteit? When you can #compost it!
