25.01.2022 A 3 person Ambrose in support of Mardi Gras Ambassador Rosie McConell will be held at the Loxton Golf Club on Sunday 29th November. 23.01.2022 GOLFERS PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE NEXT 2 DAYS ARE FORECAST FOR EXTREME HEAT. The following is the Golf Clubs Extreme Heat Policy. All Golfers must adhere to the policy on days over 39 degrees. LOXTON GOLF CLUB HOT WEATHER POLICY In the interest of health and safety, the Loxton Golf Club recommends the following precautions be taken in the case of extreme heat:... In instances of extreme weather, you must decide if it is safe for you to play. It is ultimately your responsibility to take care of your own welfare. Drink plenty of water before you begin your round of golf and during your game. Proper hydration is important in reducing dehydration. Use 30+ sunscreen and re-apply as required. Use a broad brimmed hat or an umbrella to protect yourself from direct sun. Utilise as much shade as is available on the course. Make intelligent decisions regarding your health. Advise your playing partner(s) if you are feeling unwell and take appropriate action. Do not continue playing if you are suffering from heat related illness. The following policies are in place and must be adhered to: If the forecast is to be 39 degrees celcius or higher, as issued by the bureau of meteorology at 3pm the day prior to any programmed competition, entry cut off time will be 10am. The club will endeavour to accommodate all players in the early time slots. Our Santa Ana Couch fairways become delicate in extreme heat. To protect the fairways from tire burn, motorised carts will not be permitted to drive on them after 11am. Cart hire will still be available, but you must not drive on the fairways. Please keep to the second cut of rough and beyond. The booking sheets start at 6am. We urge golfers to book early to avoid the hottest parts of the day. Enjoy, but STAY SAFE!

22.01.2022 Hi everyone! I am happy to announce that competition golf will be starting again from tomorrow (Wed 2nd Dec) The Booking Sheets are open and the course is looking FAB! Food and Bev can be consumed on the course, including Grog! You must still be seated when in the clubhouse though. We are still abiding by the 4 square metre rule so please remember to social distance. Introducing the COVID CHECKIN System. As contact tracing measures improve it is vital that we adapt.... 20.01.2022 A reminder that the Loxton Golf Club will be hosting the Riverland Ambrose this Saturday. It is a shotgun start which means the course will be closed to social golfers from 11:30am. If you are choosing to play please be aware that you must get out early enough to be finished by this time as the course will be full. 16.01.2022 Mother nature had a swipe at one of our Swamp Oaks on the first hole the other day! Lightning struck about half way up the tree, travelled down the trunk leaving 2 charred trails, then blasted 2 holes out of the ground. A reminder that golf, trees and lightening don't mix! As per our dangerous weather policy, If lightning is visible then golfers are urged to head back to the clubhouse, do not take shelter under a tree!

16.01.2022 ATTENTION MEMBERS The Loxton Golf Club AGM is still going ahead tonight, with tighter covid guidelines in place. The meeting will be held at the Golf Club on Edwards Rd Loxton North, starting at 7pm. Come along and hear how your club has fared during the past 12 months and about upcoming projects.

11.01.2022 ATTENTION GOLFERS The new directive from the Commissioner has just come in and it's not great unfortunately. Effective immediately, all competition golf has been suspended. Upon advice from GolfSA, we are looking at an approx 2 week ban, to be determined by the current outbreak.. Social golf is still allowed but following strict social distancing guidelines. Rakes are being removed and noodles are going back into the cups. The clubhouse will remain open at this stage with former food and beverage rules in place. Patrons must be seated indoors and outdoors. This is not a great scenario for SA and our club, however through correct management and compliance we will get back to normal sooner than later. We will keep everyone updated regularly. The AGM will still be going ahead tonight. Stay Safe everyone. P.D.

08.01.2022 You may have spotted a Bright New addition to the gardens at the Loxton Golf Club. As one of Loxton's iconic tourist locations, we have been chosen to be a part of the New River Red Chairs Trail. What a beautiful setting to take in the majesty of our bird watching gardens, pines, soaring gums and lush fairways. The chairs are located in the bird watching gardens overlooking the 18th green. 05.01.2022 ATTENTION MEMBERS! This message is to advise that as of midnight tonight the Loxton Golf Club and Golf Course will be CLOSED until further notice. Stage 4 lockdown in SA means NO recreational outdoor activity is allowed, this unfortunately refers to golf, social or competitive. All access to the course for exercise purposes is banned. This is a very serious situation. We ask all members to adhere to the strict, lockdown rules and follow all directives by the Commissioner. 05.01.2022 EXCELLENT NEWS GOLF FANS! We are happy to announce that the Loxton Golf Course and Golf Club will be re-opening on Sunday 22nd Nov. The following Covid restrictions are still in place: - Social Golf Only. All comps are on hold until further notice. - Practice, including the use of all facilities is allowed.... - Flags are to remain in the holes and no bunker rakes on the course. Noodles are in the cups. - Golf carts are available for hire but must be booked in advance. 08 85841490 - The Clubhouse will be open on regular days (Wed, Fri Happy Hour, Sat & Sun) to service your golfing and liquid needs. Some snacks will be available. All indoor consumption must be done while seated. - NO GROG allowed on the course atm. Non alcoholic beverages and food is allowed. - Adhere to social distancing within the clubhouse 1 person per 4 sqm with a max of 10 per table. These restrictions will be in place until further notice is given. We will keep you updated regularly.
