12.01.2022 In NT, Indigenous housing can cost up to $1M for the same 100m2 house we could build here in NSW for $2-300k. The Social Procurement challenge called for innovative idea's on how to increase the social impact of good procurement. I've been working with local NT organisations, & UOW, developing a local sourcing model that will help direct investment into the socio-economic growth of these remote communities. 10.01.2022 Thanks to the NSW dept. of industry, and local MP Gareth Ward, for their supportive comments about the BuiltQuik pre-fab construction system, co-developed with SMEC (Snowy Mountains Engineering Corp). Collaboration with UOW through a Govt. TechVoucher grant program, helped LPCT develop and refine the regional sourcing model and supplier database, which will support the decentralised regional production of the BuiltQuik system, rolled out into remote NT communities.
