24.01.2022 We're putting a stop to people and businesses price gouging and exporting the essential medical supplies that we need here in Australia.
23.01.2022 https://www.lpogroup.com.au//australian-made-covid-masks-a LPOG has partnered with a small business consortium manufacturing Australian washable, reusable face masks to meet the demands of our customers in the coming months, or years if we are unlucky. These masks are being manufactured by struggling small manufacturing businesses, in several different states, and just like us, they would benefit greatly from our support by buying, and selling Australian manufactured produc...ts, to help them survive through to the end of this pandemic, and hopefully beyond. https://covidmasksaustralia.com The need for reusable marks is escalating rapidly in Vic and NSW at present, but it is a fairly safe bet that the need will be with most states sooner rather than later. Sourcing quality Australian made masks, in bulk quantities, off the shelf is difficult, so this is a perfect way to help ourselves, and our fellow struggling small businesses around the country. For many smaller LPOs, the MOQs usually makes bulk purchasing of products very difficult, so LPOG has developed a range of packs to meet the potential needs of this product for our members. IPIP is assisting with flat rate postage for all, and bulk purchasing makes the product the same rate for all, regardless of the quantity purchased. So if you are considering stocking reusable masks, please consider supporting this initiative, and helping re-establish manufacturing in Australia for our essential supplies. ORDER FORM: https://www.lpogroup.com.au//australian-made-covid-masks-a Discount available for LPOG members! The Groups involved in this work will be advertising on their own social media sites as follows Groups & Pages https://www.facebook.com/groups/455372111839513 (1.7M members) https://www.facebook.com/Australias-Page-195766187858610 (628,117 Followers) https://www.facebook.com/Australian-Page-222419574973944 (336,073 Followers) https://www.facebook.com/groups/147040642391510 (156.5K members) https://www.facebook.com/groups/472229969459086 (71.6K members) https://www.facebook.com/groups/651366209035398?should_open_composer=false (36.9K members) With these 6 groups/pages we have an organic reach of 2.9 Million Australians all wanting Australian made, and that’s not all our pages and groups we have many more with a total organic reach of over 3.5 Million Australians.
23.01.2022 For those wondering how we might prepare for the Corona Virus.
23.01.2022 During the February and March LEEP rounds, Licensees were expecting to see the LBP presentation which just may well be the next big thing for many Licensees. Unfortunately Covid-19 interrupted the LEEPs rounds, and then everything else has been interrupted since. As a consequence LPOG requested that the LBP presentation be made available via video, so Licensees that were not able to attend their LEEPs, could see the presentation and start thinking about how this can assist us... to grow our business when we are back to normal. The LBP program is to upskill Licensees and Australia Post Corporate staff to enhance our customers experience, as such to view the video of the LEEP presentation you will need to log into the LPOG members area on this site. https://www.lpogroup.com.au/ If you are not a member of LPOG, you can also view the LEEP presentation video on the Australia Post LPO Events facebook page. Many of the past LPO Expos, and LEEP presentations, have been posted previously to this page, so you may already be registered in that group. If you are not a member of that group, just ask to join and provide your WCC and name and you will be accepted. Likewise it is also available on the LPOs United facebook group. If we are facing a couple of months of social distancing restrictions, with changes to our business over the next few months, Licensees may have some free downtime to become match fit for the LBP program, and come accelerating out of these unprecedented times ready to take on this challenge. So please check out the LEEP presentation from Ted Butler and Louis Quadrio, introducing the Local Business Partnership Program, and start thinking and planning how this program might help you and your customers to grow our shared businesses.

21.01.2022 LPOs Senate Champion Former Senator Ron Boswell is very ill in hospital and needs a good boost of well wishes to help him to keep his strength building to overcome his health issues. Ron has done so much for LPOs by taking on our cause, and he was such a tower of strength for all of us. LPOG is asking Licensees, friends, family, and Australians who value the contribution Ron made to keep our LPOs open, to send a Get Well card, or a postcard with a few words of support for hi...s own battle to Ron Boswell, C/- St Andrews Hospital, 457 Wickham Tce, Spring Hill Qld 4001. We would love him to have a large pile of cards to open and read, to keep him busy when he turns the corner. He is one of the quiet Australians who just gets things done, so it would be wonderful for him to see how appreciated he is by one of his causes. Much appreciated everyone. He is a special Australian and what goes around comes around. Our time to support Ron and his family.

16.01.2022 Merry Christmas to us all. We have spread the Merry and put millions of presents under millions of Christmas trees around Australia, and kept our good cheer and spirits up through most of it. Time now to sit back and enjoy the break. Our thoughts go out to all those struggling with fires and droughts. Hopefully there is some respite up ahead for you all. If you were planning on reading Terry Ashcroft's annual NSW newsletter over the break you will need to wait a bit longer. T...erry's other life is as a farmer, and his farm in on the northern end of the Gosper Mountain fire in NSW, so he has been on the front line for the past few weeks trying to save what he can. He is hoping to get his newsletter in the mail mid January-ish. Like the rest of us, he is hoping for some rain anytime soon. Merry Christmas and a very prosperous New Year to one and all. Lets make it a great one for us all.
16.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/groups/850586172404831 Australia Post and Community Post Offices are such a vital part of every community. They are the cornerstone that keeps our communities alive and viable. Please join this group to register your support to build a strong voice that will make the Government of the day listen to the people of Australia. It doesn't matter whether you are a Licensee, an employee of Australia Post or one of our customers, we all need to shout out to keep Australia Post ours.
15.01.2022 We're not being rude, we're protecting our health and safety, as well as yours - through social distancing. We want to make sure we can keep delivering the item...s you need, through these difficult times. When a postie or delivery contractor comes to deliver your parcel, please keep your distance. There's no need for a signature and we'd appreciate if you didn't exit your door to collect your parcel until we've left. Please share. #ThankAPostie See more
15.01.2022 -- Coin use and COVID-19 -- Medical experts have confirmed that coins and cash are safe to use there is no evidence that either coins or cash spread COVID-19.... The World Health Organization has rejected reports that it warned COVID-19 could be spread through handling cash. WHO spokeswoman Fadela Chaib said, WHO did NOT say banknotes would transmit COVID-19, nor have we issued any warnings or statements about this. COVID-19 is transmitted through droplets caused by infected people coughing, sneezing or speaking, which can land on other people or common surfaces. You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within one metre of a person who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth before washing your hands. The best defence against these droplets is to avoid touching your face, sanitise the surfaces of any items that you touch, and regularly wash or sanitise your hands. This applies equally if you use cash or cash-free methods such as contactless payments. Be sure to also wash your hands after using phones, credit cards, keypads or touchscreens. Being able to keep using cash during this period is vitally important for many people, particularly disadvantaged people such as those with literacy issues, on low incomes, and without regular access to phone or internet services. We urge retailers not to discriminate against people who prefer to use physical currency and to continue accepting cash to ensure people have access to the goods and services they need. Refusing cash could put an unnecessary burden on people who depend on cash as a means of payment. Please read the full statement and article before commenting. Thank you! https://bit.ly/39vORyC
14.01.2022 UPDATE FOR MELBOURNE AND SOME VICTORIAN RETAIL OUTLETS: AP have just been advised that the 2/3rds staffing rule will impact DC and sorting facilities, so that will mean PO Box mail will be delayed into Melb LPOs, and probably further down the line to most Victorian outlets tomorrow morning. Please be aware that if you have sorters rostered for early sorting of POB mail, it may not be there at the usual time. It is unclear at this stage what the changes will be like, so it will take a while for this to be worked into a schedule. We will hear more about this during Monday business hours.
12.01.2022 LPOG has requested Australia Post address the financial impact of the delay in getting our stock to us during these interesting times. Many of us have stock sitting in the back log, or in some cases, stock ordered early last month has just arrived, leaving a very short time frame to cash it in, and pay for it on the 24th. In order to address this problem, not of our making, LPOG has requested Australia Post assist with extension to the payment terms. If you need to take up this extension offer, please see information on the process by clicking on the link below. https://www.lpogroup.com.au//stock-delays-and-credit-exten
12.01.2022 https://www.lpogroup.com.au//no-closures-lpos-victoria-und Under the Permitted retail outlets, small LPOs and Post offices will continue to be able to trade with full staffing, because it is not possible to reduce a 1 person operation by 1/3rd, and it is not possible to be operating an effective Post office with less staff than is necessary. Licensees are not known for having staff standing around not being busy, so carry on everyone. It is a good time to make sure your Cov...id-19 safety plans are adhered to by both customers and staff at all times. We need to manage our retail spaces for the safety of both staff and customers to help stop the spread of this virus. Thinking of you all in Victoria, and other hot spots around the country.
12.01.2022 Senate Inquiry into the future of Australia Posts service delivery - Calling for submission from stakeholders by COB 3 July 2020 - Have your say on our future! Once again Licensees have the opportunity to voice their opinions, or raise their concerns, regarding the future direction of the business that we are so heavily invested in. Over the past 10 years, as part of the retail arm of Australia Post, we have been forced to adjust our business model to meet the changing needs...Continue reading

11.01.2022 Update on one of our great champions, Former Senator Ron Boswell. Bossie called today to let us know he is on the mend. He has been in hospital for over 4 months and has been to the brink and back. Today was his first day back on his 2 feet and he sounded very happy. He has asked us to thank all the many people who sent him cards to cheer him along. He was overwhelmed and very appreciated of all the good wishes and support from his Post Office people. He said he would like t...o reply to everyone but there was so many it would take him too long and he wanted to get his thanks out there as quickly as possible. So if you were one of the many who put a card in the mail to give him a boost, it made a big impact and he thanks you from the bottom of his heart for you good wishes. Thanks from Ron Boswell
11.01.2022 https://www.lpogroup.com.au//lpos-assistance-bushfire-impa For LPOs impacted by the fires, contact your RNP Teams by email if possible, (so it can be spread around to the best areas) and talk to them about what will help get you back on your feet and trading again. Stock bills will be a big issue so bring that up in the conversation.
10.01.2022 These are quokkas. They are marsupials native to Western Australia, and wear a perpetual Hey there! Good to see ya! Oh, you brought pie! smile on their faces. I just felt your newsfeed needed more quokkas in it.
08.01.2022 Dear Mr Morrison. We are writing to you today in support of Australia Post CEO Ms Christine Holgate. We are Licensees of 2,850 Licensed Post Offices spread throughout Australia, since 1993, and it is only under her leadership that we have become a more viable small business. After decades of neglect from previous CEO's and both sides of politics, it is only now that we are seeing that light at the end of the tunnel and our businesses are recovering. During this pandemic, Ms... Holgate has lead Australia Post with true insight and care in very uncertain times. As frontline essential service workers, we remained open for business in every suburb, every village, every town, rural, remote, regional and metro in every electorate, serving every Australian across this country. Australia Post is at the front door of every Australian home nearly every day and we are championed by a CEO who cares about us and every person who makes up the Australia Post workforce. We matter to her and she matters to us. Ms Holgate has proven herself in the time that she has been CEO of Australia Post. During 2020 Australia Post has had to deal with volumes of mail never seen before at this time of year. Bank branches around the country closed down and thankfully the bank@post agreement forged by the Executive of Post has been the saviour of many customers being able to access banking services at their local Post Offices. Living in a pandemic is scary enough without having the added pressure of no local bank access especially for our traditional customers. We plead with you to show Ms Holgate your support. Yours sincerely Australia Post Licensees See more
