20.01.2022 Stella SW6000 This is a very common occurrence. Salt water makes its way through the body seal and settles in the bottom end of the reel.... The oscillating block on the shaft corrodes and there is also corrosion in the channel that houses the body seal. I keep saying it, "the seals don't work unless they are lubricated". These reels need to be pre-serviced straight out of the box to stop this from happening.

15.01.2022 I almost bought myself another rod for the trip but remembered I had a Matagi blank sitting in the rack...so I quickly threw this together. I didn't have a full set of guides so placed 4x AGS guides at the tip. All the rest are titanium frames. A couple more coats of resin and it'll be ready to go.... 12.01.2022 It's funny how the lower pinion support bearing on the Saltiga gets water to it when it seems to be the furthest from all water entry points. It's actually a very common bearing to fail.
