21.01.2022 For November the gallery has a Lightning Ridge themed Exhibition, to coincide with our application for a grant to create a stained glass window

21.01.2022 Natalie showed Gwen how to turn beads into spiders while, Hannah beaded a food cover, getting ready for the feasting season. Dale came up from Sydney to learn some stained glass techniques.



20.01.2022 We held our first meeting since March yesterday. We began our meeting with a minutes silence in honour of Jo Mihalic. A good attendance of members with positive discussions. One point in particular was that we need more members to volunteer time to help keep the gallery open. Hand sanitiser is at the front door and we are still practicing social distancing

20.01.2022 Another great polymer clay workshop begun today with Lyne Chant. Skinner blend technique then a flower cane created.

17.01.2022 As a non-for-profit organisation Lightning Ridge Arts & Crafts Inc. depend on volunteers to keep the Gallery open for the tourists to visit. Local Artists, Makers and Crafters please consider becoming a member of the Gallery. Benefits are many, including an outlet for your work, use of the gallery workspace and equipment, meeting with other local Makers and Artists.

12.01.2022 Spring exhibition all set up. Our mannequin has her spring PPE on. Uvonne is continually filling up her table of biscuits and cakes. Town is already very busy with visitors.

11.01.2022 QUILT SHOW EXHIBITION // Outback Arts are very excited to be welcoming the first exhibition into the Gallery post COVID-19 closure. The Material Girls annual Q...uilt Show is a highly anticipated feature of our exhibition program each year, drawing huge crowds from across regional NSW. Although things will be a little low key this year, it will no doubt be a beautiful exhibition to enjoy whilst keeping safe. The exhibition will be on display from Thursday 18th June until 31st July and will include a quilt raffle. Keep a lookout on our social media for sneak peeks!

10.01.2022 The gallery is smelling nice today, handmade soaps made by new member, Su. Also made by Su hand knitted socks. There are range of different beanies available too.
