23.01.2022 It is currently 31 Time to retreat to the sheds where it’s a cool and comfortable 22 degrees! Fun fact- The girls on the farm got an aircon before the girls at home! Thanks dad!

23.01.2022 Growing up as a farm kid! 1. You will see the sun rise & the sun set (sometimes in the same day) 2. Manure, mud & dirt are merely an accessory to your work clothes 3. You will EARN your pocket money... 4. School holiday programs and sick days from school are just full working days out on the farm 5. You will learn the difference between a farm animal and your pets but treat both with love, respect and kindness 6. You’ll never find children’s farms or a petting zoo as exciting as the rest of the kids- but there’s always the big zoos for that 7. You may have days where you eat your lunch when most have breakfast 8. Weekends are just workdays with less staff 9. You’ll have the best adventures and enjoy being outdoors 10. Family is everything and you’ll never escape them Sending love from our farm to you

23.01.2022 Our small vans deliver daily to our local community butchers, bread shops, cafes/restaurants, fruiters and more. We deliver approx 100,000 eggs to these businesses every week!

16.01.2022 Whilst this is an older video and the industry have made significant changes- Anvil Media Video Production did a fab job back in 2007 to produce a story of eggs

13.01.2022 What a year right? From Covid to Salmonella to AI outbreaks in the egg industry (not on our farm) we’ve been non stop. Implementing new food safety/ biosecurity programs for both the staff and chickens Improving WHS & OHS and finishing of my AG diploma. Although we’ve had some bumps in the road we’re a family of positivity and we’re so pleased to have the support of all our staff, family/ friends and the most incredible and loyal clientele. Even with this 5km radius we’re... still moving forward. This isn’t a time to slow down and we’re currently planning what our future will look like with the shift. We will make sure we jump on board with social media again and take the time to keep everyone updated with our crazy farming lives. D & the rest of LT’s Egg Farm My mask is with me- not breaking any rules

10.01.2022 Our eggs are stored in large cool rooms approx 14 degrees. We usually suggest storing your eggs in a dry cool pantry but With the hot weather in full swing we suggest if your house fluctuates temperature or you’re concerned about the heat- Store your eggs in the fridge in their packaging.

07.01.2022 Casually trying to explain our biosecurity policy - but distracted by how cute they are

06.01.2022 If we get in trouble It’s your fault because I listened to you

06.01.2022 With a toddler now on the farm you can imagine the logistical nightmare But worst of all is the creativity factor we supposedly lack to keep things interesting for a mind that gets bored after 3 mins and 18 seconds! But here we are creating mice out of boiled eggs to keep lunch exciting! Thank goodness she’s an egg lover and also can’t tell mum isn’t the best artist out there! Lucky I’m a much better farmer than artist ... Sending eggy goodness and love PS. If you have a better egg/ toddler hack! Please tell me

06.01.2022 1 pallet 48 Boxes 720 Dozens 8640 Eggs

05.01.2022 Sun is Shining on our beautiful farm!

05.01.2022 Appreciation Post! Farming is full of crazy days/ nights and lots of hard work! And whilst egg farmers do all compete in a sense for price and sale of eggs to Aussie Households we also work together behind the scenes to better the overall industry and learn from each other. I have some of the most amazing friends all over Australia linked by a love for what we do and am forever grateful I can call SA/WA etc at any time (providing I dont get the time differences wrong ) and ...get some advice on something we may have never faced or hour long chit chat on chickens More importantly have you seen this amazing chicken mask! A big thank you to Lina from Casaccio Egg Farm who sent me my own mask after I got a little jealous Sending Egg Love D

04.01.2022 Helping Agriculture Victoria with their education piece on Avian influenza! Making sure farmers understand the importance of biosecurity and preventing outbreaks of disease or pathogens.
