20.01.2022 GIMME SOME LIP I LOVE it when a client requests a bold lip! Here is a few things to consider when opting for a bold lip. ... 1. Pick your shade. Match it to a colour story you are wearing. Not necessarily your outfit but take in consideration your eye makeup colour story. 2. Confidence. Wear that lip like it’s a crown on your head! People will stare (in admiration!) so you need to wear the lip, not the other way around. 3. If you are planning on wearing a bold lip for an event, prep ahead. Getting your lips into tip top condition will not only make lips look better but also makes the lip colour/product last longer. A super easy lip scrub is raw sugar and coconut oil. Do this daily leading up to your event. 4. If you plan on eating, drinking or talking, you will need to carry some sort of touch up. Not all makeup artists supply a touch up kit, so either take your own lip colour or purchase the shade from your artist. 5. When wearing a bold lip colour for a big event or occasion, have a spotter. 03.01.2022 One request I ALWAYS get asked ad a makeup artist is I just want flawless skin. Now makeup can certainly help with this, especially with the airbrush system I use. However, I am not a magician and can not make imperfections disappear (could you imagine though!). This all comes down to you baby! The canvas. The better condition the canvas is in, the better the makeup looks and lasts. If you wanting to look your absolute best on your big day, I would suggest looking at havin...g your skin analysed by a skin professional. A few of my favourite facial treatments for brides to have leading up to their big day are: Dermaplaning, peels and microdermabrasions in some cases. Add in a home care product routine and you will be glowing! It’s probably best to look into a skin therapist and treatments a good 6-12 months out from your big day for ultimate results. The southwest particularly, is blessed with many great salons and therapists. So if you need any recommendations, let me know. Yes skin care and treatments can be an investment, but your skin is going to be around a hell of a lot longer than most things in your wedding. It’s worth the investment
