20.01.2022 I had to revisit these figures for an activity for uni today. They blew my mind the first time I read them, and they did the same again today: In 2014-15: 49.8% of Australian adults met the Australian Dietary Guidelines for the recommended daily servings of fruit. ... Only 7% () of Australian adults met the Australian Dietary Guidelines for the recommended daily servings of vegetables. Only 5.1% () of Australian adults met both guidelines. ABS (2016) I think I can safely say that the majority of the people who follow my page are in the same privileged position as myself and have access to beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables. Let’s not take our privileged position for granted. Get in on it and make a deliberate effort to eat more fruits and vegetables everyday. If 2020 hasn’t encouraged us all to take our health more seriously, I’m not sure what will. I hope that these pictures serve as some inspiration.
