18.01.2022 The Personal Project is here! Music From The Burbs looks at bringing the music direct from the burbs to you. I have wanted to get back to my local scene and supporting local artists for a while, but now more than ever they need our help! I will be sharing the concept in a bit more depth over the next few days but I'm so excited to start doing more of this and getting everyone involved!... 13.01.2022 Well, what a time friends! I, like so many other creatives in the arts, have lost a lot of freelance income over the last few days. you only need to look at https://ilostmygig.net.au/ to see the devastation to venues, artist, sound, lighting, PR and so many more humans. So now seems as good a time as any to try and sell some prints! As I won't be shooting for the foreseeable future, and although I'm fortunate to also have a stable "real job" I'm currently working from home un...til this whole situation settles down. So, I have a large collection of prints from the exhibition in 2019 I will part with (more specific post about that coming) I will also be offering one-off prints like so many other Photographers as a form of income. A3 @ $90 seems to be about the going rate with my comrades and printed locally in Geelong, so not only supporting me but local printer as well! So if you ever wanted a piece of my Instagram on your wall now is the time!!! hit me up, troll my insta, website or just ask me where the john Farnam shots are at! Also consider locking in tentative dates for live coverage local friends, or portrait sessions, and try to support your fellow creatives, buy their merch, go visit your venues while you can, order food, put down deposits on lighting, sound and pr pros services, or simply check-in and make sure they are doing the best in this terrible situation. 12.01.2022 My beautiful SX70 is my favourite camera I own and I have never really seen its full potential until today. This lovely specimen went to see The Instant Camera Guy for an overhaul and is now shooting the most beautiful images I've ever seen come out of it! Stay tuned for a lot more Polaroid shooting now!
