03.01.2022 This cow came into our lives in a sad circumstance. She was born on the back of a truck and fell off the truck with out the driver knowing, onto the road with on coming traffic. This was at 9.30pm on a Saturday night two young ladies got her to the side of the road and was trying to wave down traffic to stop and help them . This is where I came along. I pulled over and ask them what was wrong. I heard a poor calf crying call. I then saw the calf, she was all black but I cou...ld see she was so scared and I couldn't leave her there. So I wrapped her up in blankets and put her in the back of my Barina. I rang my friend knowing that she and her family had bottles for goats and asked if I could have one just to get me by for the weekend. I drove to my friend's house with the calf in the back, the whole way I was thinking please don't die, please don't die. My friend's parents gave me a crash course on what to do and ending the conversation with good luck. As I was driving home I called my Husband (Kris) asking if he could put our dog in the laundry. He asked why ???? I told him that I had a cow in the back of my Barina. He was like WHAT THE HELL??? You are always doing random shit. By now I've gotten home pulled her out of the car, tide her to the washing line pole and started to attend to her by giving her bottles of milk and washing her source I stayed with her most of the night. Hoping she would be ok. My children woke up to a calf in the back yard and my husband woke up with knowing of the work he had in store for him that Sunday morning . We named her Lucky and I don't know who is more lucky, me? Or her?
