25.01.2022 These three photos are actually all of the same horse! Two were taken in 2008 and the other last week. Some extractions and lots of corrective dentistry to both his incisors and molars over the years and the teeth are in reasonable alignment, considering the starting position!!

14.01.2022 Old horse problems - this tooth came out in my fingers when I felt the molars! Loose teeth are common in older horses and can cause all kinds of problems chewing!

12.01.2022 Upcoming trips: Tuesday 6th October - Murrumbateman/Yass and surrounding areas. Monday 12th & Tuesday 13th October. Mudgee, Gulgong, Rylstone, Bathurst, Lithgow and surrounding areas. Weekly - Canberra, Bungendore, Braidwood, Goulburn, Southern Highlands, Sydney.

10.01.2022 Young horse issues - this young gelding had a retained cap (baby tooth). The roots of these caps normally dissolve and so the tooth is easily shed when the permanent tooth comes through. But this one had other ideas and decided to stay put! It was slightly loose and in a perfect spot to get food trapped and promote infection. Note the long root on the tooth after extraction.

09.01.2022 An interesting wry mouthed patient this morning! We took her into the vet clinic to have her sedated to make it a little easier to get the speculum on to open her mouth! Thankfully her molars line up a lot better than her incisors!

09.01.2022 Many of you in the Canberra and Braidwood areas will have known Ella. She was a lovely person and a wonderful vet and she will be greatly missed.
